Summary

Nicholas Hornby is an English lyricist and writer known for his work, including the memoir
called "Fever Pitch" and the novels "About a Boy", "A Long Way Down" and "About A Boy".
He has sold over 5 million books worldwide, as of 2018. The Majority of themes that his works
touch are music, sports and obsession. In 2004 BBC called him one one of the most influential
british people.

The book I read is called " A Long Way Down" and it is a fantastic read, because every character
feels fleshed out, they're very sympathetic and the way in which they conversate is extremely
captivating and also amusing.

The book focuses on TV presenter Martin Sharp, Single mum Maureen, eighteen-year-old Jess
and American Rockstar JJ and the ways in which they deal with their depression. After they meet
eachother on the roof of Topper's House (a famous a place in which people go to when they're on
the brink of ending it all) they start conversating and soon enough they become friends and start
seeing the good things in life.

I would reccomend this book to anyone that likes dark humour.
