As a writer, sky's the limit and Plaridel will be an organization that I believe I can utilize my skills and

benefit from what the platform offers, which will allow me to grow and learn. Writers wields the key for
the future of information and knowledge that the society needs to prosper, and I aspire to open the
minds of people, understanding different perspectives I could write about. I see Plaridel Magazine as a
promising platform that will be able to help out this generation to further expand their knowledge on
various expressions as an individual, simulate their proficiency when it comes to their talents, and to be
able to utilize their interests. More so, being a part of this organization will allow me to share what I do
know and reach out to more people to help them strive to be better.

As a person with a strong belief for justice and equity, I believe that the Kabataan Partylist will be an
organization that I believe I can utilize my skills and benefit from what it has to offer, that will allow me
to grow and learn. As a student, we hold the key for the future of information and knowledge that the
society needs to prosper, and I aspire to open the minds of people, understanding different perspectives
I could participate into. Kabataan Partylist is already an influential party that has been promising, for it
has helped generations to further expand their knowledge on various expressions as an individual,
simulate their proficiency when it comes to their talents, and to be able to utilize their interests. More
so, being a part of this organization will allow me to share what I do know and reach out to more people
to help them strive to be better.

I've always aspired to make a change that will help everyone rather than just handful of people. I believe
my motivation to strive for betterment perfectly aligns with the platform's initiatives; after all, a
platform will only prosper if what we share to the crowd is the best and only the best. Plaridel Magazine
has drawn my attention to some topics to which I have learned more, allowing me to determine what I
believe will help me and my fellow Gen Zs in recognizing our expressions, abilities, and interests.

The responsibilities that come with joining this organization provide an excellent opportunity to
showcase my talent and give me room to grow. I believe that it will be able to challenge me to strive
harder to push my limits and find more ways to give back to my fellow Filipino Gen Z.

As I have stated, I have a motivation to strive for betterment that perfectly aligns with the organization’s
initiative and that would be the strive to amplify the Filipino Gen Z voices. I want to take stand with this
statement as I am determined to help others to create the loudest voice that everyone can listen in. I
have both been in the two sides of a coin—the one who was silenced and the one who spoke out. It is
important for us to live in a society where we are not forced in narratives and stereotypes that we could
not fulfill, and only drain us to become copies of one another with no differences. Not only that, but one
is always stronger when they're loud; after all, silence is deadly.
This generation is pressured by the people to do what they believe what was best for them without
listening to their thoughts and silence them with a hammer of “judgement.” Everyone has vices and
virtues that needs to be understood and be spoke out to give awareness and allows flexibility for each
and every individual to grow and change.

However, if a safe space is not provided to this generation, it will only result in a cycle of self-destruction
that will affect the future in more ways than one. I believe that I have to be firm and fight for the
expressions, abilities, and interests of Filipino Gen Z, after all, it is inevitable for big moments to come in
our life, and we cannot help that. But, as part of the voice that Plaridel provided what we do afterwards
would be the one that counts. In the end, what we need is motivation and the push to step forward to
allow ourselves to think and act outside of the box and the vision and mission statements of Plaridel will
be the first to guide us. After all, if we just kept silent, we would lose our freedom and identities as
individuals of the ever-so growing generation.

If one has chosen to explain a serious topic in an entertaining manner, it is necessary that they possess
the quality of empathy in order to engage with their audience. Always consider how the reader will be
influenced to think and feel after reading a text. One must keep in mind that not all humors are
amusing, especially on serious concerns. These matters are serious for a reason. When writing, it is
essential to have a thorough understanding of the constraints of sensitivity that may be placed on a
certain subject. One boundary they shouldn't breach is ridiculing the victims or the victimized party due
to their biases. The distinction between writing dark comedy and laughing at the darkness of something
should be noted by authors. For instance, if someone is writing an interesting piece about Martial Law,
he or she may comment humorously on how it became the golden age of the Filipinos, but making jokes
about the victims and the protesters is a different case.

If I had to choose one application from the Google Suite to represent me, I would say that I am most like
Google Drive. Google Drive stores confidential files, photos, presentations, and more, no matter how
small or big the size. On the other hand, I have my peers fill me in with their deepest, darkest secrets
and most troubling personal issues with me. I have the utmost respect for the fact that they felt they
could confide in me with subjects that they would never be able to discuss with anybody else other than
me, and at this point, I am more than prepared to keep those things to myself and never disclose them
to anyone. Apart from that, through GDrive, it is now more convenient for people to organize their files,
allowing them to keep track of what needs to be done and also accomplish their tasks accurately. As for
me, I work out schedules and assess the advantages and disadvantages of the various components that
go into making my plans. In addition to that, I devise backup plans in the event that we run into any
difficulties while working with the committee. This helps ensure that we can continue forward without
being derailed. As I had mentioned earlier, GDrive is also able to store files of any size. In comparison to
that, I am able to adjust to the amount of pressure that is being applied, regardless of whether it is a
responsibility that has been given to me individually or in a group setting. In addition to this, it grants
people the ability to share files with one another and collaborate on projects while also providing an
access all over the world. In a similar context, it was said that I am capable of working in either an
individual or a group work environment. Not only that, but people seeking to get in touch with me won't
have any trouble doing so because I am available at practically any hour of the day or night and because
I am often just a phone call away, regardless of how close I am to them.

In the same way that one of my goals is to assist in amplifying the voices of those individuals who want
to be heard, I also want to be heard for the things that I have to say. Throughout my grade school to
middle school years, I know to myself that I was a born leader. Despite this, by the time I was in high
school, I had become much more self-conscious, which contributed to a decline in my sense of self-
worth. People would often give me unwanted stares as well. Even though I knew how my words could
contribute to our community, I disguised them out of fear that others would judge me negatively for
them. I felt as if I was silenced. Apart from that, things that I find fascinating are frequently derided as
pointless or irrelevant in my home. As long as it does not result in monetary gain, it is considered to be
pointless and a waste of time and effort. Being listened to is something I experienced so little. I have
always been in a position where I must listen and understand, but rarely where I am the one being
listened to and understood. I have a firm faith that I and the other members of the Gen Z generation
embrace the same sentiments, and that is how we will continue to rise together despite the existence of
destructive forces. Sometimes, all that is asked of us is to have a friend that will make us feel that our
voices are being heard, to have our views and feelings understood, and most significantly, to have the
assurance that we are not alone. Fortunately, Plaridel Magazine was born to be our friend.

I appreciate how their vision and mission are so simple, yet fully enabling. Members are given the
freedom to express themselves without the feeling of judgment, which will let powerful surges of
confidence and enthusiasm run within these desiring writers to be themselves. Not only that, but
because we are still relatively young, we probably have a long road ahead of us filled with opportunities
for growth and development. We all start off at the same starting line of the track (the difference is this
is no race at all; keep it at your own pace), where we shall be learners, regardless of how promising or
insufficient we may feel our talents are. Plaridel Magazine companies us as we walk across that road to
learning, in a way that is motivating and empowering but it never makes us feel less capable.

Plaridel Magazine considers me to be one of its voices to amplify, so I would like to think that if I were
ever presented with the opportunity to reconnect with other individuals whose mission is to encourage
and promote the recognition of the full potential of this generation, I would make the most of the
journey. I play a role in Plaridel Magazine, and in doing so, I also contribute to my well-being. I have
always been for the people, and I would also like to learn how to be for myself.

“If the parallel universe existed, I wish I pursued (insert a profession) instead.”
Despite the numerous ambitions I have set for myself in life, I do not consider this existing catchphrase
to be a part of my understanding. One of my goals is to get my medical degree so that I can acquire the
power to cure the illness that plagues our healthcare system by contributing to the provision of free
healthcare to those who earn the least. Another objective of mine is to earn a degree in engineering so
that I can put my knowledge, experience, and creativeness to good use. My final goal is to earn a living
as a writer so that every time I pick up my pen, I get to uncover the stories that have been lost and
hidden. With that being said, Plaridel can serve as my foundation as it consists of writers who share the
same goals as mine. It can also serve as my room for improvement and as my safe space. As an aspiring
writer, I often read books to have a grasp of various people from different walks of life. I am given an
opportunity to understand how they are designed to think and act which I find interesting as I am often
faced with a fresh set of a train of thoughts. Exploring a hidden significance behind the image that the
author painted enthralls me because I find the characters and situations portrayed in the most exquisite
impression yet most unfathomable ways that I never imagined I could comprehend. I aspire to be one of
the authors illustrated as I am not only offering my talent in writing to P

laridel Magazine but also to the people who are often silenced and misunderstood. The greater the
number of writers who have an unbounded capacity to comprehend those who are stigmatized for
being difficult and different, the more audibly these people are able to express themselves.
