1. What is your idea when you were informed that you will have an
entrepreneurship subject?
The definition of entrepreneurship has stayed constant— my idea about this subject and its topic
would be related to both businesses and economics, such as how an entrepreneur will market
their business, how said business will grow, how it'll succeed or possibly fail in the future. Truth
to be told, I do not have vast knowledge about this subject, and I could say that this an
uncommon ground for someone like me, as I have barely or not shown any interests at all when
it comes to entrepreneurship. After all, the concepts studied at this subject is more on
understanding or nitpicking the workings of our economy— both in a smaller or larger scale,
which meant it's trudging to how “money flows in the world.”

Nevertheless, there are a lot that I want to understand or took part as a knowledge I'll carry on in
my life— such as how it'll introduce me to a different perspective of how society works— not
just politically or religiously, but also economically. Beforehand, there was already a common
“fact” among individuals, which is in a business, one should take several risks and how it'll
continuously undergo the process of “give or take.” More so, like a puzzle, I want to figure out
what are the ways entrepreneurship affects or how it becomes a viral role in the development of
our economy. As I have mentioned, entrepreneurship relates to both business and economy—
which meant that in learning this subject, I will be introduced on how these two aspects comes
hand-in-hand.

Not only that, but as for someone who wants to open my mind for different possibilities of the
future, I hope to understand how entrepreneurship changes over time— from past to modern and
to the far future. In our current times, I notice how it slowly transforms the world, even if the
majority of the population may not see it. In entrepreneurship, as a subject that focuses on
innovation and such— I believe that it needs to tackle more issues involving businesses and how
it brought social change to our society. Moreover, entrepreneurship is not something to
underestimate given how it can be considered as the backbone of the population, given the fact
that it encompasses the systems of economics. It's also not just about how it can control the
society, but in a different perspective, I believe that it's how an individual would be able to build
a life or a job in their own terms— with no bosses to watch over or a restricting schedule. It's for
people who yearns for freedom and confidence to take a step forward in life with no one holding
them back.

Meaning, despite the different and various ideas that entrepreneurship has long established, it is
more on how it contributes in changes and growth, the development for a brighter future and
how not only major companies, businesses, but also even the smallest percentage of individuals
in the society can take the first step into making the world a better place— for everyone in it,
including themselves.

2. What are the things that you want to know about

entrepreneurship?
As I have previously stated, entrepreneurship is a subject that covers the ideas of both businesses
and economics. I have admitted that I do not have the adequate amount of knowledge and
understanding of the ideas and principles this subject tackles, which is why there are a lot of
things that I hope to study in entrepreneurship. In the end, this could be one of the opportunities
or pathways that I might take in the unpredictable future which could be helpful for me, if ever I
want to succeed or disappoint me if ever, I do fail. Nevertheless, a subject like entrepreneurship
is similar to keys that will open doors of endless endeavors for individuals.

First and foremost, I want to further understand how entrepreneurs are considered as agent of
changes— as I have previously mentioned, I am hopeful that this subject will brought forth nore
issues involving businesses and how it brought changes to our society. Then again, an
entrepreneurship is more on flexibility and being open to different opportunities in life, as it
handles the possible involvement of risks. Next, I find it interesting that entrepreneurship can be
perceived as the process of discovering new ways of combining resources, which meant it is a
subject of innovation— just like in science, where researchers or scientists continuously studies
everything about in our life, world, the galaxy, and etc... More so, I want to understand more on
how an entrepreneur makes a profit.

Although I do understand previously based on my economics class that when the market value
generated by said new combination of resources is greater than the market value these resources
can generate elsewhere or individually or in some other combination, the entrepreneurs makes a
profit. But anything other than that, is an idea or concept that I am yet to learn and understand.
As a student or young teen, as I must share, I have seen how entrepreneurship works in school
and in my daily life. This subject is an opportunity for me to learn more of its importance— that
I am aware already that entrepreneurs create jobs.

Entrepreneurship is the mastermind behind of how money flows in our economics. So of course,
entrepreneurs give the chances to everybody else to have jobs, even to themselves as there are
instances as to where an entrepreneur takes the risk of employing themselves. Even more, this
can lead to an ambition to grow their businesses which will eventually lead to the creation of
new jobs. As businesses continues to grow, the more it'll grant opportunities to create more jobs.
And lastly, innovation is the idea that entrepreneurship focuses on as businesses needs to follow
what the people need, what would make them trendy, and what would make their businesses
boom. If they fall off the path, or let's say the "hype," their business will eventually die out and
replaced by yet, another one that knows how to adapt, overcome, and change.

In conclusion, I seek out to learn more about entrepreneurship and can consider this as a quest
for my thirst for knowledge, and like an entrepreneur I dream big.

3. How can you relate the subject of entrepreneurship to your

everyday life?
“Money makes the world go round,”— this is a known fact in our life and although, not
everyone can notice how it's a big and influential aspect in our life, it's there. As a young teen, I
have already experienced countless of situations on how entrepreneurship influences my life and
by that, I can relate to this subject as it has already become a staple to my everyday life.

By spending money on online shopping and buying from online shops, I can see how my money
makes an entrepreneur earn even in a small amount and more so, how my continuous support or
endless buying (let's say) will keep their business alive. Just like I have previously mentioned, a
business might possibly die out if it doesn't follow the trend or the hype that the population has,
and I have seen how it worked out on different businesses. Such as the fall out Nokia, which was
once the top mobile company years ago which was now left behind by its competitors when they
fell off the “line” — which could be possible on their lack of innovation and how it fails to bring
change to the people, and of course the society. Relating to entrepreneurship is somewhat similar
on how my lifestyle works, or on what I do a day. Like a merry go round, individuals go through
a ride on spending their money, earning their money, taking risks, and etc... In life to see where
possibilities could possibly take them, whether it's success or failure.
More so, in a young teen's life like mine, we are quite materialistic and easily follows a trend or
recommended businesses, riding along bandwagon to catch up with others— just like in
entrepreneurship where you always need to take a step forward and stopping so, will only result
to a hold back or hindrance to countless opportunities in businesses. Another thing is how we
work and work and work every day in our life, like how entrepreneurs provide
job for people and how it slowly eases its way to our economy and control the society— which is
what we need to survive in this world.

Money indeed, do not grow on trees, which is why I relate as to how I take risks and chances in
life if whether I'll succeed or fail, or if whether I'll open the doors of opportunities that I should
consider. Then again, in a world where only a society will boom if businesses will continue to
grow and change from time to time, one should not hesitate to take whatever is laid upon them. It
might be a key to a successful life, a change or steer from everyday life. More so, in a life of a
teen like me, as years passed, I slowly inch my way to become a part of the working force of the
community and will soon contribute to the different aspects that entrepreneurship encompasses.

4. Why did you choose your strand?

One word: Passion. I chose Humanities or Social Sciences or commonly known as HUMSS as
my strand as I have a desire to pursue a career align with humanities— specifically, psychology
and law. As an introvert, I am quite dissociated when it comes to crowds and it continues to
overwhelm all throughout the years, however I see this strand as a way for me to become more
confident and be a person that can outshine other people with my passion to become the best
among the rest, when it comes to the career, I'll take one day. This strand enabled me to learn
about the foundations of human behavior and how one another of us has come to influence each
other in different societal phenomenon in history and time, such as in culture and politics. It
encompasses all of things that I have accepted as a part of who I am, which is reading and
writing, and I can see that this strand is meant to be a doorway to a bright future for me.

More so, this strand is as versatile as ever, as it will let me be flexible— like in entrepreneurship
— with my chances, letting me have my freedom and take my fair chances of successes and
risks, opportunities and failures. This track also let me learn vices and virtues that I will carry on
as I grow old and see what the future lies ahead of me, as it'll enhance my speaking skills I build
and of course, boost my self- confidence. In this particular strand, communication is important
and as introvert, this is one of the things that I tend to shy away however, I see it HUMSS a
“helping hand” for me to reach my goals in life. And it will let me enjoy the things I am
passionate of—revolving around improving myself in writing, reading, and even comprehension.
It can also be considered as a “springboard” to quite distinctive specializations, while offering
not only me, but every other student a chance to discern oneself if what suits us the best.
And lastly, as someone who is a rebel and always want to think outside of the box, it is the strand
that enables me to become the “bigger person,” in a way that I'll be able to see different
perspectives than mine and see the bigger picture that many will fail to realize. In a year that I
have studied under this strand, I have experienced education that encourages me to face truths—
whether it's bitter or sweet— and take in the bigger picture into consideration, even if at times,
this truth can be a pill that would be hard to swallow. It gave me an opportunity to receive help
when it comes to making more justifiable, critical, and sounder decisions in my life. It let met
evaluate situations by considering all sides which is a useful skill to build if ever I pursue my
law, as it prepares me for valuable characteristics that I will bring with me when I finish
studying.

5. How do you see yourself five years from now?

Truth to be told, the future is something that I have never considered to look forward to. I am the
type of person that “lives in the moment,” and has only looked back to the past to change myself
and correct the mistakes that I do not wish to repeat or has only looked at the future with a dull
insight. The future is unpredictable and unforeseen, a mindset that I have evoked early on in my
life as I never bothered to see where the directions, I took in life will lead me. As long as I am in
the present, I will be there— pushing and working hard, even if the future might seem bleak for
me. I may sound pessimistic with this idea, but it helps me to be on track and focus on the
present, rather than something that is yet to happen. Can one even truly determine where the
future might take them? Of course, not— sure, we are the controllers of our fate and destiny, the
riders of our own wheels of fortunes, but it doesn't mean that only ourselves can determine
what's in it for us.

In 5 years, I do not know where I would, I do not what I would be doing, or would I ever see it
right here and right now. Imagination and wishful thinking is something that one could do, but
that is not for me— nor is manifestation, I will do what I want to do and will only focus on
what's laid in front of me for now. The future is far away and even the past is a vast ocean of
deep, buried memories that only the experiences that I believe will help me be a better person
stayed with me. In 5 years, I could be a failure or a successful person— am I the one to
determine that? Yes, but would I be the one to steer myself in that direction? Yes, however, time
changes, seasons, too, but the circumstances and situations that we continuously experience in
the circle of life will happen— whether it's for better or for worse.

Life is cruel and kind that way. In such, it will place me in a pathway that I need to choose what
to take. Do I take the left? Do I take the right? Only time will tell. Only years will tell. But for
now, I am thriving with the organizations I became a part of, the opportunity to become a
president and a top student, that is where I stand now and that's how the present me lives and
could be where my future might lead. In the meantime, I am a student who will continue to
dream with little or no care to what the future might hold for me because in the end I know that I
am my own person and years cannot determine who or what I will end up be.
