Purpose:
● To inform the public about how deforestation contributes to the devastating impacts of
climate change, making the planet increasingly uninhabitable for future generations

Broad Term Goals

● Communicate difficulty to accomplish a task with plenty of time (in case work has to be
done)
● Have a google doc where everyone can see progress before posting to website
● Be polite and respectful to each other’s contributions
● Design a website that is visually appealing and user friendly
● Follow the guidelines of the assignment precisely

Measurable Team Goals

● Always respond to a text message within a day, even if it's just a thumbs up
● Meet deadlines with a one day buffer
● Proofread each other's writing before submission, to avoid unacceptable work

Personal Goals
● Daniela:
○ Improve procrastination tendencies
● Lizbeth:
○ Spread workload evenly until the deadline
○ Learn to design a website
 ○ Have a friendly team experience
● Ryllie:
○ Manage time effectively to meet deadlines
○ Communicate with team effectively

○ Have good communication with teammates
○ Get to know everyone and have a good environment

Individual Commitment
● Make weekly appointments to discuss the progress (text/ google doc comments)
● One person works on their own tabs
● 1 graphic created on Adobe Illustrator, Canva, or Excel (cite yourself), AND
● 4 annotations of four unique sources. Each annotation should include:
● Citation: Use number system formatted citation
● Annotation (150-word limit):
○ Summarize the article’s purpose/theme and its major conclusions/findings,
○ Evaluate the author’s authority
○ Name the intended audience
○ Synthesize this work with at least one other on your team’s website
○ Indicate which student wrote this annotation (in parentheses).

Other Concerns
● Inexperience with website formatting and design

Conflict resolution
● Talk to each other before involving the professor with any issues

● Person unable to meet a deadline must advise the instructor
