FINDINGS
Upon reaching at survey site, we observed that the containers were loaded on trucks. Both containers were
found in damaged condition at consignee’s warehouse. Detailed findings are as under:

1. CONDITION OF CONTAINER (CSLU1518574x20’).

a. Left side panel no. 2 to 5 dented, twisted.


b. Cut found at left side panel no. 2 about 3”x6” inches.
c. Left side panel no. 3 cut 3” inches.
d. Left side panel no. 4 cut at two places.
CONDITION OF CARGO (CSLU1518574x20’):

During de-stuffing the cargo we checked inside the container and noticed that the container left side
panel’s cut at places, some bulk cargo got damaged and were found in fungus, lumpy emitting bad odor, in
wet condition. Labors filled all damaged cargo in PP bags during de-stuffing. Remaining cargo de-stuffed
from container to on plinth and found in sound /free flow condition.

Upon completion de-stuffing of cargo we segregated sound and damaged cargo, damaged cargo filled in
PP bags and we jointly checked the container/damaged cargo bags weight at Consignee’s weighbridge
and weighment details as under.

WEIGHMENT DETAILS:
Cargo weight as per B/L : 27,500 Kgs
Found Weight as per consignee weighbridge : 27,410 Kgs
Shortage cargo as compare to B/L : 90 Kgs

2. CONDITION OF CONTAINER (CSLU1635626x20’)

a. Right side panel no. 4 cut about 16” inches.


b. Right side panel no. 2 to 5 dented, twisted.

CONDITION OF CARGO (CSLU1635626x20’):

During de-stuffing the cargo we checked inside the container and noticed that the container right side
panel’s cut at two places, some bulk cargo got damaged and were found in fungus, lumpy emitting bad
odor, in wet condition. Labors filled all damaged cargo in PP bags during de-stuffing. Remaining cargo de-
stuffed from container to on plinth and found in sound /free flow condition.

Upon completion de-stuffing of cargo we segregated sound and damaged cargo, damaged cargo filled in
PP bags and we jointly checked the container/damaged cargo bags weight at Consignee’s weighbridge
and weighment details as under.

WEIGHMENT:

Cargo weight as per B/L : 27,500 Kgs


Found Weight as per consignee weighbridge : 23,500 Kgs
Shortage cargo as compare to B/L : 4,000 Kgs
Damaged cargo weight : 693 Kgs

CAUSATION:

All cargo (Chick Peas) de-stuffed from container and stored in consignee godown. Upon examining the
container during de-stuffing we noticed that some cargo were found in wet, fungus, lumpy condition with
emitting bad odor at the containers damaged sides which might happened due to ingress of accumulated
water inside the container from damages area/components when it got continuous contact with water.
