area of 304m2 at the Sial Paris International Food Industry Fair 2022 This is the world's largest and most prestigious fair in the field of
food and beverage, taking place from October 15 to 19, 2022, at Paris Nord Villepinte (France).The booth area of Vietnamese enterprises
at the Fair is designed with an open space and unified identity, with high professionalism, creating an impression to visitors about the
dynamic Vietnamese food industry aiming to provide the best products and services. Ms. Hoang Thi Lien, President of the Vietnam
Pepper Association, assessed that France is one of the main export markets of Vietnamese pepper in Europe with the 4th position (after
Germany, the Netherlands and the UK).In 2021, France imported 5,600 tons of pepper with an export turnover of 21.2 million USD.

On October 12, 2022, in Da Nang, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture
Organization of the United Nations , the World Bank in Vietnam organized the Celebration of Wage Day.
The event was attended by Mr. Le Quoc Doanh, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development; Mr. Rémi Nono Womdim -
FAO Representative in Viet Nam, Ms. "Ensuring equal access to safe and nutritious food is important for sustainable development,
especially for the poor and vulnerable, who are suffering most difficult due to epidemics, natural disasters, wars and economic recession.
The project has made an contribution to the implementation of the Agricultural Restructuring Scheme through improving the
institutional capacity of the agricultural sector, innovating farming methods towards sustainability, and enhancing the value chain for
the agricultural sector.
The project not only has a positive impact on economic efficiency, specifically through improving productivity and quality of rice and
coffee, but also brings positive effects on the environment and society.

Exports to Russia showing signs of recovery
In August 2022, the export turnover of most of the above items increased quite high compared to August 2021. Export turnover of
electronic products, computers, phones, equipment and machinery continued a strong downward trend in August, while the decline in
export turnover of textile and footwear groups downward trend. Meanwhile, the import turnover of goods from Russia in August 2022
reached 119.9 million USD, up 26.1% compared to July 2022, but down 26.3% compared to August 2021. In the first 8 months of 2022,
import turnover reached 1.4 billion USD, up 8.6% over the same period in 2021.

After the initial period of difficulties, the situation of the Russian market gradually stabilized, the value of the ruble recovered,
businesses gradually adapted to new conditions... Besides, Russia gradually adjusted and built new logistics transport routes, applying
appropriate import and export payment methods. Vietnam's goods export turnover to Russia after a sharp decline in March is showing
signs of recovery. Trade information, currently 4 regions in Ukraine are conducting a referendum, it is expected that the Russian
Federation will conduct the merger of these regions in the near future. It is forecasted that in the near future the US and its allies will
also implement stronger sanctions against Russia, which will likely affect the payment of import and export goods, such as shutting
down all Russian banks.
Therefore, the Vietnam Trade Office in Russia recommends that associations and businesses that cooperate with the Russian market
need to closely monitor the market situation to take appropriate response measures. Recently, Russian businesses are very interested in
promoting trade and investment cooperation with the Vietnamese market. The number of Russian companies coming to Vietnam to
attend fairs, exhibitions and seek business and investment opportunities is increasing.

Therefore, the Trade Office proposed the Trade Promotion Department, localities and associations interested in supporting Russian
partners.
