As Augustinians, we are called to be a propagator of a culture

of life. A culture that always protects and defends life. As a
student, how would you concretize the culture of life in your own
home, school, and society.

1.This is how we build a culture of life as a student , a culture that joyfully proclaims the
truth of God's love, purpose, and plan for each person. Changing the culture is a process
of conversion that begins in our own hearts and includes a willingness to be instructed
and a desire to be close to Jesus the source of joy and love. When we encounter Christ,
experience his love, and deepen our relationship with him, we become more aware of
our own worth and that of others. His love for each person is cause for great joy, and
growing understanding of this priceless treasure motivates us to share his love with
others. Our lives are often changed by the witness of others. Others' lives may be
changed by our witness and authentic friendship with them. Let us go, therefore, and
not be afraid. As a society and as individuals, we often measure ourselves by false
standards by what and how much we do, our successes or failures, how others treat us,
the degree of our pleasure or independence. And when these changeable substitutes
prove to be insufficient, or when we are faced with challenges and suffering, we may
feel helpless, alone, or abandoned, we may be tempted to feel as though our lives have
decreased value or worth. But God's love individual, real, unchanging is the true
source of our worth, identity, and dignity.

2. Resilience as one of the important Filipino Values is defined

by how we manage to smile in the (direst) circumstances, like in
facing typhoons, calamities or tragedies and especially in this
time of the Covid-19 pandemic. Do you think the Filipino spirit
is just about smiling despite the hardships we encounter?

2.Yes, Despite of everything, they still finds a way to smile even for a while. It's just that
we're getting used to natural calamities here in the Philippines. And I must add the
Filipinos are really strong, so whatever happens we just smile. We can’t dismiss the fact
that our ability as a people to continuously adapt and overcome is good for our survival.
What we deserve is a better life. I mean, it’s flattering as that type of
people ,optimistically braving through storms and coming out stronger than ever. But
the thing is, we get upset. We get sad. We get terrified when another typhoon is about
to strike. We get exhausted from having to experience hardships after hardships. We
can lose hope. But I agree, as a Filipino , despite of all the hardships that we've
encountered so still carry to smile everyday. That is maybe the best values Filipinos
have, we still manage to smile even in times of difficulties . We should maintain this
happy disposition for us to continue living in the midst of this crisis. I think that is the
only positive thing we can do for our lives to go on as normally as we can. That is the
best values Filipinos have, we still manage to smile even in times of difficulties. We stay
positive even in the brink of becoming a failure. I hope, we can recover fast to live our
life as nothing happens. We continue to cooperate and help each other instead of
mudslinging.
