Career is a profession with opportunities for progress and

promotion. In ancient times, birth, caste, family and heredity

decided one’s career. But today, career range is wide and the
youth gets confused about which one to choose. The
importance of choosing a career while being young - this is a
common topic to talk about for all the youngsters. Every young
man who goes to school is asked for what he or she is going to
do next, what are the plans for tomorrow. Sometimes those
questions are brought up so often that it may appear as
brainwashing. First of all, young people have enough time to
decide and choose the best path possible. Young people are
energetic, active and not "broken" to choose a career. Some
people choose a career because of the salary, because of
helping the others or maybe because of lack of knowledge.
Youngsters who still think about the future can fill all those
empty gaps. However, being young is not always good. The
lack of life experience can lead to not the best future path but
even to the worst. Almost all teens have the idea of being an
astronaut which becomes a true career for only one in a million.
Both these aspects are good, but they can sometimes lead to a
disaster - being too obstinate and not knowing the correct way
makes people over-rate themselves and therefore not succeed
in the future. To sum up, I personally think that choosing a
career while being young is important. A perfect career is
something all of us dream of. But many of us constantly change
our career. It is common for an average person to have at least
two career changes in his life. When you are changing your
career too fast, it means you haven’t put enough thought in
your career decision. To achieve the most in life, we need to
plan our future wisely, and choosing the right career is one
important step towards achieving what we want.
