ANALYZE
Answer the following questions based on the diagram.

Are the three components constructively aligned? Explain.

Yes, the three components are constructively aligned, from defining the learning
outcomes to determining the methods to be used to achieve the outcomes and the
type of assessment to be used to determine the student's level of learning.

Will the outcomes be achieved with the teaching methods used? Why?

Yes, the teacher's instructional approaches yielded the desired results. She uses
news and youtube videos on her topic. In general, we believe that this teaching style
has resulted in a positive outcome.

What component would tell if the outcomes have been achieved?

When students get passing or above average scores and perform well on the activity
set, the Evaluation and Assessment section will determine if the outcomes have
been met.

REFLECT
 What lessons have you learned in developing or writing a lesson plan?
 What value will it give to the teacher if the three components are aligned?

The lesson we've learned from preparing or writing a lesson plan is that in order to
achieve your objectives, the three components must be in sync. To evaluate where
your students are at the moment of learning, you must plan ahead of time the
knowledge, skills, and values you want them to acquire, determine the best
technique to achieve the intended goal, and provide evaluation and assessment that
is aligned with your learning outcomes.

SHOW Your Learning Artifact

Observe a class with the use of the principles of learning given in Revisit the
Learning Essentials. I will identify evidence of applications/violations of the principles
of learning. I can cite more than one evidence per principle of learning.

What did the Resource Teacher do to

ANALYZE
What principles of learning were most applied? least applied?

MOST APPLIED
Learning as an active process. It is an student centered approach, students
participate in the process of learning. As i see, teachers are the facilitator and
provides the information to the students. Teacher, discuss the topic andstudents are
the one who elaborated and apply their understanding to the lesson.

LEAST APPLIED
Discovery Learning is least applied in the discussion. Teacher explaining the topic or
the content and sharing her thoughts regarding to the topic

Give instances where this/these principle/s could have been applied?

Effective learning begins with the setting of clear and high expectations of
learning outcomes.
Example: Before the instructor begins teaching her lesson to the students, she can
project her desired learning outcomes for the topics on a projector so that the
students can get a sense of what the discussions would be like and how they can
respond to the teacher.

Learning is an active process

Example: Teachers might use reciprocal questions to promote an open discourse in
which students assume the position of teacher and ask their own questions about
the topic, reading session, or lesson.

Learning is the discovery of personal meaning and relevance of ideas.

Example: In order to allow pupils to aid with their responses, the teacher answered
those test questions verbally in front of them. For example, the students
acknowledged the need of self-preparation prior to an exam.

Learning is a cooperative and a collaborative process.

Learning is an enhance in an atmosphere of cooperation and collaboration
Example:Collaborative learning is a teaching and learning strategy in which students
work together to answer a pressing question or complete a meaningful activity.
Collaborative learning can take the form of a group of students debating a lecture or
students from different schools working together on a shared assignment over the
Internet.

REFLECT
From among the principles of learning, which one do you think is the most important?

Learning principles are suggestions for the most effective ways for people to
learn. "Learning is an active process," I believe, is the most significant principle since
it involves student engagement to teach. It uses a student-centered approach to
students in particular to fully participate in the learning process.Students are
supposed to learn through cooperation and exploration rather than protracted
teacher talks and lectures, as conventional learning relied on long teacher
discussions and lectures. With this kind of approach, the student's task is to
collaborate with the teacher in the building of knowledge, and the teacher's
responsibility is to assist them. as a result. It provides a deeper understanding,
fosters critical thinking, and develops problem-solving abilities by enabling students
to engage in the building of information.

Identifying Learning Outcomes that are Aligned with Learning Competencies

OBSERVE
Observe a class, this time focusing on how the learning outcomes were stated.
Determine if the learning the outcome/s was/were achieved or not. Give evidence.

1.Write the learning outcomes stated in the lesson.

2.Cite pieces of evidence that these learning outcomes were achieved.

For the prior knowledge she started her lesson in a activity, guessing the word
through numbers. And then she shows pictures of different land and water.

Showing video presentation that is related to her topic. (Examples: Benguet, flood in
Biñan and taal)

For applying the understanding of the students, she divided the group in to 4 and
gave category and discuss it to their class. This activities has a question that they
need to answer.

After that activity, students need to answer the True ot False for the engagement.
And after that she show pictures how to protect the environment. In that questions
where the students apply their learnings in real life.

ANALYZE
Do SMART objectives make the lesson more focused?

SMART objectives help the lesson become more focused because they make goals
specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and time-bound. Teachers are guided in
this way to achieve the desired learning outcomes. The SMART methods will assist
teachers in pushing themselves further, providing them with a sense of direction, and
assisting them in organizing and achieving their goals in order to achieve what they
expect from their students.

REFLECT

I learned from the lesson on determining SMART learning outcomes that your lesson
objectives or intended learning outcomes should be SMART (Specific, Measurable,
Attainable, Result-oriented, and Time-bound) because this will really help the
teacher as well as guide the teacher in the learning process and the development of
the students. As previously stated, SMART objectives will also assist teachers in
directing the flow of the lesson and achieving the desired goals on a specific topic,
as well as making the discussion clear and organized.

comprehend and understand the topic comprehend and understand the topic.

What teaching-learning practice shows that teaching approach was:

A. Constructivist connected to past experiences of learners; learners constructed

new lesson meanings
During the class discussion, the teacher encourages students to relate their previous
experiences to the topic and to try to connect them to the new notion under
discussion.

B. Inquiry-based
The teaching and learning practice I observed from the inquiry-based teaching style
was that the teacher presented did think questions to the students about the topic
and encouraged them to think for themselves. The questions can be subjective in
order to encourage students to share their thoughts and ideas.

C. Developmentally appropriate – learning activities fit the developmental stage of

children
Learning activities are appropriate for children's developmental stages. The
instructor encourages a child's growth (social, emotional, physical, and cognitive).

D. Reflective When a teacher, for example, allows colleagues to attend your class
and seeks feedback from the students, this is referred to be a reflective teaching
technique.

E. Collaborative – students work together

The teacher assigned students to form groups and distribute topics for class
discussion. They are the ones who will make the presentation and handle it in class.

F.Inclusive – no learner was excluded; teacher taught everybody

Regardless of the student's differences, the teacher wanted all of her students to
actively participate in both class discussion and learning activities. The teacher did
not want to be biased and wanted to treat all children equally.

G.Integrative – lesson was multidisciplinary – e.g. In science, math concepts were

taught.
The teacher connects different topics and concepts to the subject matter so that the
pupils' learning is not just limited to the subject but also multidisciplinary. In other
words, the learners are capable of understanding and have the opportunity to learn
new topics.

ANALYZE

1. What are possible consequences of teaching purely subject matter for mastery
and for the test?

The learners will be confined to the classroom situation, and their learning will not
extend to the outside world since they will be overwhelmed with concepts but no
application. Students will study solely for the purpose of exams, and everything the
teacher has taught will be forgotten quickly.

2. If you were to reteach the classes you observed, would you be teacher-centered
or student-centered? Why?

If I am to reteach I would use the teacher-centered to encourage and motivate the

whole class to actively participate in the class discussion and in learning activities. I
would impose positive reinforcement wherein I will recognize their answers that may
motivate them to participate more.

REFLECT
Principle of teaching worth applying

Inquiry-based learning helps students make their own connections about what they
learn. Their curiosity helps them engage and gain a deeper understanding of topics
and content, instead of primarily memorizing and recalling rules, ideas or formulas.
