WHAT IS MEANT BY
PHOBIA?
A phobia is an anxiety disorder defined by a
persistent and excessive fear of an object or
situation. Phobias typically result in a rapid onset of
fear and are usually present for more than six
months. Those affected go to great lengths to avoid
the situation or object, to a degree greater than the
actual danger posed.
If the object or situation cannot be avoided, they
experience significant distress. Other symptoms can
include fainting, which may occur in blood or injury
phobia, and panic attacks, often found
in agoraphobia. Around 75% of those with phobias
have multiple phobias.
DIFFERENT TYPES OF
PHOBIA

 Claustrophobia: Fear of being in constricted, confined

spaces
 Aerophobia: Fear of flying
 Arachnophobia: Fear of spiders
 Driving phobia: Fear of driving a car
 Emetophobia: Fear of vomiting
 Erythrophobia: Fear of blushing
 Hypochondria: Fear of becoming ill
 Zoophobia: Fear of animals
 Aquaphobia: Fear of water
 Acrophobia: Fear of heights
PHOBIA OF
FAMOUS
CELEBRITIES
1.Kendall Jenner: Trypophobic

Kendall Jenner is trypophobic, meaning she fears tiny little

holes in weird patterns. She says “Things that could set
me off are pancakes, [waffles?] honeycomb or lotus heads
(the worst!)” and gets anxious just looking at little holes:
“Who knows what’s in there???”
2. Nicole Kidman: Lepidopterophobia

Most people are delighted by butterflies, but not Nicole
Kidman. The actress is scared of the cheerful insects.
Kidman herself admits it’s bizarre saying, “I jump out
of planes, I could be covered in cockroaches, I do all
sorts of things, but I just don’t like the feel of
butterflies’ bodies.”
3. Rihanna: Ichthyophobia

Although Rihanna is from the island nation

of Barbados, she fears fish of all sizes. The
clear Caribbean water actually made things
worse, she told the now defunct Blender,
because she panicked when seeing the fish
swim around her feet.

4. Daniel Radcliffe: Coulrophobia

Daniel Radcliffe suffers from coulrophobia,

the fear of clowns — pretty much like any of
us who saw it or Poltergeist when we were
kids.
MY
PHOBIA
MY PHOBIA : HEMOPHOBIA
Hemophobia refers to the intense and irrational fear of
blood that interferes with an individual's ability to function
in their day-to-day lives for at least 6 months. Currently, it
is listed under specific phobias in the Diagnostic and
Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-V) as blood-
injection-injury phobias. Other phobias in this category
include the fear of needles, as well as the fear of physical
injuries .
My phobia is I am scared of seeing others taking injection
and blood. When I see blood I start sweating and felling
very dizzy .
