Measuring time period of a simple pendulum
TOOLS USED:
Iron stand, a metallic mass hang by a thread, stopwatch, scale.

PROCEDURE:
A simple pendulum consists of a small metallic mass suspended
by a thread from a rigid support of iron stand.
Place the iron stand on a table. Measure the length(l1) of the
thread and the mass is at rest.Hold the mass and move it to one
side up and release it gently. The mass will start vibrating from
one point to another.
Now start the stopwatch and start counting the vibrations, note
the time for 10 vibrations. Repeat this experiment 2 times for
length(l1).
Calculate average time (Ts) for 10 vibrations and divide it by 10 to
calculate (Tp).
Repeat the experiment by changing length of pendulum, there will
be change in time period.
After noting lengths and corresponding time periods we can relate
all this information through table.
