1. What struck you most in the vocation story of Sr. Jonna Rosales, SPC?

What struck me the most with Sr. Jonna’s story is the phrase, “Hindi lamang
trabaho, kundi pagkatao”. Sr. Jonna is pertaining to when the time comes and we became
a successful person on the track that we are pursuing, we should still be virtuous and
always have a great heart. Even we got the success that we always want and worked hard
for; we should still have pure intentions on our goals.
The process was never easy, we may get stumble upon during the process and
because of the difficult part of the process, some people get big headed because of it. I
think that what Sr. Jonna trying to say is, we should keep our feet on the ground and give
our hearts to God. The feeling of restlessness and difficulties during the process is normal
and will always be there, but what we should know is that these situations will lead us to
the promising life that we always want. The genuine happiness, the fulfillment in our
hearts, we can, and we will achieve it in God’s perfect timing.
During the process of finding our purpose, God will always test us to know if we
are worthy of the things that we want. And during this process, we should never forget
that no matter the challenge that we encounter, God will also help us to overcome these
challenges and lead us to the life where we will find genuine happiness within our hearts,
all we have to do is trust and give everything to Him.

2. What does her story reveal about how she values the Kingdom of God?

In my very own understanding, Sr. Jonna’s story reveals that God’s will for us will never
fail us. God’s will for us will provide genuine happiness and fulfillment even though it is
not what we wish for. God will surprise us in His very own ways. Trust God and never
lose faith. Surrender everything to him and surely, He will never fail you.
We, students, are not just here to earn and finish a degree, our purpose in our lives is
bigger than that and we should never forget that. Sr. Jonna’s story reveals that the
Kingdom of God is God’s will within us, all we need to do is follow and do everything
with a purpose. Putting God in the center of our goals will always lead us to genuine
happiness.
