Course Significance

• It is part of the Professional Courses mandated by the


Commission of Higher Education (CHED) to the fulfillment for
the Curriculum for the Bachelor of Science in ELECTRICAL
ENGINEERING in particular;
Course Learning Outcomes

At the end of the semester, the students must be able to:

1. Demonstrate an understanding of Computer


Programming in Information Technology and
Communication field;

2. Evaluate and apply the different computational science


programming and application /system development,

To e n s u r e a h i g h l y i n t e r a c t i v e c l a s s , s t u d e n t s a r e e x p e c t e d t o c o m e t o c l a s s p r e p a r e d t o
discussed assigned materials , work experience, scenarios, or ideas related to topic.

The grade is based on both the QUALITY and FREQUENCY of participation. Quality is
based on logic and ability to incorporate course material. Frequency is judged
relative to the total discussion.
Description
The components are graded as follows:
- Frequent, High quality of participation

- Moderate, High quality of participation

- Less Frequent, High quality of participation

- Less Frequent, Low quality of participation

- Rare participation

- No participation
Evaluation Criteria:
Exercises / Assignment / Case Study
Students are expected to come to class prepared for topic exercises to be given at the end of
every topic discussion. Answers must be based on course materials work experience,
scenarios, or ideas related to topic.

Evaluation Criteria: Major Examination
Major Examination: There are three (3) major examinations
for the course, Prelim, Midterm and Final Examination.

Electrical Engineering is a profession that involves the
conceptualization, development, design and
application of safe, healthy ethical, economical and
sustainable generation, transmission, distribution and
utilization of electrical energy for the benefit of
society and the environment through the knowledge
of mathematics, physical sciences , information
technology and other allied sciences , gained by
study, research and practice.
Electrical Engineering is one of the broader fields of
the engineering disciplines both in terms of the range
of problems that fall within its purview and in the
range of knowledge required to solve these problems.
