Competence profile - EUREC Master

A graduate from the EUREC Master receives a research-based education at a high technical level which enables him/her to take on a range of specialist roles in the renewable
energy business. The European Master in Renewable Energy is mainly industry oriented but also gives access to further education (PhD).

Degree title:

• Is able to communicate findings in both written and oral form in English to the problem owner and other relevant stakeholder

• Is able to deal with diversity
• Has developed adaptability skills since he/she had to travel, find accommodation and find a project by himself/herself in at least two different countries in 16 months

• Is able to present a reflective attitude towards the possibilities and limitations of the scientific methods used and to make meaningful contributions to the energy debate.
• Is familiar with the international institutions and knows their importance for a social, economic and political policy
• Is able to integrate renewable energy sources into a flexible, distributed energy system
• Is able to interpret the impact on policy making of regional, national and international factors
• Is able to apply the principles of integrated storage techniques
• Is able to analyse and improve the energy efficiency of production chains
• Is able to evaluate a certain integrated system, i.e. calculate economic value

This competence profile has been developed to summarise the programme and the main competences of a graduate from the European Master in Renewable Energy.
As this Master programme offers a choice of five different specialisations, this profile can be completed by more detailed technical domain-related competences.
