The author considers themselves to be more of a minimalist than a pack rat, as they do not like to accumulate many possessions and get bored of things after a short period of time. They only keep a small number of items of clothing and discard things they no longer use, unlike their parents who tend to hold onto clothes and antique objects and accumulate more possessions overall.

I think I am more a minimalist person than a pack rat because I don’t
like to have a lot of things because when 1 month later I am bored of that thing and I don’t use it more and I haven’t got a lot of clothes or objects, for example, I have only 3 trousers and 3 hoodies and I don’t need more and also I don’t keep objects, when I don’t use something if I can I give it to someone who needs it and if not I throw it away, but my parents are pack rat because they have got a lot of clothes and a lot of antique objects that they don’t use so I think that related with this topic my parents and I are very different.
