Togo Movie Review

(By Miguel Gregorio)

This movie is based on the sled dog Togo, who along with his owner
Leonhard Seppala and 9 other huskies participate in the 1925 Nome Serum Run
to retrieve the treatment in Seward to stop the diphtheria outbreak in their
hometown of Nome, Alaska. After running over 125 miles and succeeding to
save 10,000+ people, Togo has earned his well deserved title as a hero and one
of the best dogs to ever live in history.

The storyline mainly focuses on Togo and Leonhard's long way to push
through the extreme winter and stop the epidemic, while also showing
backstories of how they both met and how Togo took the heart of his owner
who actually used to hate him for his rowdy behavior as a puppy.

The development of the main character is fascinating, it is intriguing,

funny, heartwarming and really reached my high expectations. The script is
bright, clear and concise, nothing felt missing and I understood the story very
well. The end is predictable because the movie gave an idea of what will
happen to the main character at the end. Though that doesn't ruin it as a tear
jerker.

It is worth seeing and I recommend it because of its stunning visuals,

intriguing storyline, good ending and great actors. This movie deserves more
credit and you don't want to miss it.
