1. Introduction
This manual is a Web page user manual for the remote management system of
construction equipment machines by Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. The functions
provided by this manual consists of web screen constitution, basic operation and
explanations on related data.
This manual consists of general functions of the machine remote management system,
Main menu and Popup menu explanations, with detailed screen descriptions for users to
understand easily.

requirement to observe the map which is used in the system.
(*)The menu and map on the screen require silverlight by all means.

2. System Environment
For security reasons, when using Windows XP Service Pack 2 series, Windows
automatically blocks popup windows from showing. This equipment remote management
system needs an exception for popup windows. Hence you have to change the settings of
the popup blocking menu.
From Internet Explorer tab select “Internet Option” [Personal Info] – [Popup block] –
[setting] and insert http://himate.hyundai-ce.com into “website address to allow popup”

3. Log in
Users can input their user ID and password to be certified as a user, and select a preferred
language. A new user owning a machine can register as a user. If user ID or password is
forgotten, Users can move to a page where he or she can find out ID or password.

3. Log in
Logging in and then pressing the [info] button at the top shows individual user’s password,
user information, and current user-held equipment as below. It is possible to revise
password or personal information and to register additional equipment.
When revising a password, the current password shall be the same as the existing system
password, and the new password can be revised after being confirmed twice.
* Password rule
1. Enter 6-10 digits by dividing them into capital or small letters.
2. Enter numbers or English letters by all means and exclude special letters.

for remote management system is possible.

Registrant shall input relevant information in each item. Items marked(*) are mandatory
input for user registration.
If user registration is completed normally, the screen moves back to login page.

5. Finding out User ID
If you forgot your user ID, enter your Machine Number, e-mail address, and mobile
number; if all the 3 input data correspond to the data of the equipment remote
management system, then the user ID will appear on the screen.

If you forgot your user ID and password, enter the Machine number, RMCU serial number,
and e-mail address; if all the 3 input data correspond to the data of the equipment remote
management system, then an e-mail will be sent to the registered address with the user ID
and password.

2. Detail screen structure
The basic popup screen of Hi-mate is shown on this page.
It is a window with details of the equipment which appear when clicking the model number
of the corresponding equipment at the contents of the main menu page. The contents
appearing on the equipment detail window shows information on a specific piece of
equipment in detail.
It is possible to easily change equipment on the upper equipment inquiry, and the basic
information on equipment will always appear at the bottom of the equipment detail menu.

3. Menu operation method
On Hi-mate’s basic screen, two kinds of order buttons exist: basic order button and link
button to excavator equipment list as shown below.
All main screen exists [Search] button to review lists.
Clicking [Search] button means the system filters data by the search code and shows the
data user wants on the screen.

(1) screen : List screen shown on the main screen. Machine data list are shown
according to the categories on top row. User can select a particular machine and see the
details

show 15 machines. If more than 15 machines are searched, shows 15 machines on each
page via paging process .

(3) Data lineup : The sorted items of needs are shown by the selection. The sorting is
performed by the ascending power on the base of selected items if the items are selected.

Map shows machine’s location, preliminary alert, condition of machine etc. Map size can
be zoomed in/out by west-eastern side control button, or by mouse scroll. Setting map
form can be adjusted on screen setting .

When a user wants to find out the location of the machines from the list on the map, the
user selects machine by checking the checkbox in front and clicking the [Map] button. The
map is then shown on the screen with the location of machines on the map.
By putting the mouse on the machine image, a brief description of the machine is shown.
By clicking the [Detail] button, a popup window showing details appears.
By clicking the [Map] button again or clicking ‘map hide’ button under the map, the map is
folded and the machine list is shown again.

2. Machine List
User can register frequently managed machines as “private”. After selecting frequently
used machines from the list by checking in the checkbox in left, clicking [Private] shows
registration screen, showing that the selected machine is now registered as “private’.
After selecting one machine and clicking [Delete]button, the machine is deleted from the
“private” list.

information of the particular machine opens.
The user can refer to operational and management information and other details. Please
refer to the popup menu (on page 46 and later).

working rate, engine working hours graph, etc. of the held equipment, and show the

User can set the screen setting such as number of data shown on the screen, date format,
units(length, volume, temperature) etc usable up to his convenience.
After setting, all dates used in the system is shown by the applicable format and units are
translated to the value selected and applied.
User can select Map format such as 2D Road/Aerial, 3D Road/Aerial, which is applied on
the screen.

- Selecting a time band and a relevant nation from the time map can display the nations at
the selected time band on the bottom.
Selecting a desired nation can automatically select the selected nation and time on the top
combo box.

necessary for your payment.
If you enter user info and click on the Request button, credit card selecting page will be
displayed.
Verify your e-mail address and select a credit card you want to pay by, then the next page
will be displayed.

displayed.
Verify your credit card info, check on payment agreement and click on the Pay Now button,
payment will be accomplished.
It will take about 10 seconds to 60 seconds for the payment approval.
This is the image that appears when the payment is successfully done.
Payment information is displayed, or an error message will appear when payment is not
correctly done.

administrator.
If you request the payment cancellation, the details are displayed on the list as seen in the
image below.
Your cancellation status will be indicated on the Status column.

equipment data inquiry screen.
Selecting a piece of equipment and clicking the Add button can add the equipment to the
top data inquiry screen.
Check the SMS/e-mail in the ‘Fault, Warning, Boundary’ item for the desired equipment
among the inquired equipment, and then click the Save button for saving.
Check the equipment to delete among the inquired equipment, and then click the Delete
button.

- The last position information box can be moved within the map screen by being dragged
with the mouse. Beside, clicking the X button on the right top can hide it from the map, and
clicking the last position button can show it on the screen again.
- Clicking the machine movement button can compare the position information data by
dates inquired at the bottom, and then show a movement route on the map.

2) Position Report
On this page, report of machine location mode can be set(ON/OFF) and daily location
information can be referred.
The screen shows alarm information such as failure to receive location report mode data,
engine start-up at night etc per each day.
The night start mark is seen on the screen during night starting, the position information is
seen basically once a day(19:00 p.m.) when the position report mode is “OFF”, and the
position information is seen at the designated time when the position report mode is “ON”.

On this page, boundary can be set for machine and alarm status list of deviation of
machine out of boundary can be referred. Boundary information is marked on map,
together with final location latitude and longitude of machine. Boundary can be set by 1km
