Frame/Event Description Media List

Here you describe: Here you list the specifics of every piece of
media you will need; this will help you
· what will appear on the screen (picture, gather materials before beginning story
clip, graphic or other kind of visual) construction; it also serves as a “works cited
· what listeners will hear (music, list” for copyright purposes…
narrative, sounds)
· your director’s comments about what · Music, songs, sounds, voice
you are trying to achieve and recordings
communicate… · Pictures, graphics, diagrams
· Video clip
· Text, titles
Narration: (Here you write out the narrative.)

Notes:

1. Write about a sentence or two for narration cell (enough to record about 20 seconds at a
time. In my experience, that is the most comfortable length for recording each voice over
clip).
2. If you are producing 2-minute video, you should have at least 6 frames. If your video is
3-minute long, you should have at least 9 frames.
3. If you work as a group of 2, your frames should be doubled.
4. Rule of Thumb:
● 20 seconds = 1 frame
● 1 minute = 3 frames
● 2 minutes = 6 frames
● 3 minutes = 9 frames
5. In your final video, limit it between 2 – 3 minutes.
6. More than 50% of your final project should come from your own video footage. The
remaining percent (less than 50%) can be still images or videos from YouTube or any
other resources.
