Every person is unique, and the more someone is different than you, is more likely their

skills and knowledge will be different from yours if you are introduced to or become

more aware of a different culture, race, or gender in a diverse environment or society.

You tend to become less discriminating because of your new world experience. The

citizen in the community. Our worldview changes how we experience our lives, as

described above. When you interact, socialize, and work with people from different

experiences, you can hear and learn from people. Not many people are fortunate

enough to be able to travel the world or work as an ex-pat in many different counties.

Alternatively, we can learn from people coming from diverse backgrounds.

Most people have extreme views because they do not have the opportunity to

understand the other side’s arguments. Diversity and inclusion will improve the balance

of opinions and statements in any setting. A well-balanced world will accept different

ideas and reduce fears of differences. A well-balanced world can also enhance the

average cultural competency in society.

All these ideas will bring attract different investments because people in a diverse

environments understand their needs better.

Diversity is the lifeblood of a healthy nation. We only have to look to the natural world to

verify this fact. Diversity of culture brings new ways of thinking and problem-solving.

And many of the Nobel winners and inventors are immigrants or the children of

immigrants. Look at Olympic champions; diversity breeds success. I always felt that

America’s diversity was the source of its strength.

To be Mindful of Microaggressions, first, I have to acknowledge that there is no one way

or “right” way to react. I must become aware of and accept what you are feeling and

thinking. Secondly, discuss and process these experiences with people I trust. Reach

out to others for help and protect me from internalizing negative thoughts.

Always practice self-care activities that promote a healthy mind, body, and spirit.

Activities that could help me process my emotion creatively.

Connect with others and engage in activities that could empower me and promote social

change.
