Population essay help

Intro paragraph - VERY short - this is where you define key terms and say what you are
going to be talking about.

Paragraphs for argument for and against

Think about what types of interventions there are.
Think about whether those interventions are good or bad (or maybe neither) and which
paragraph they should go in (argue for or argue against)
Then think about real life examples that go with your interventions.
You DO NOT need a real life example for every intervention. In each paragraph you will have
points you make that you explain but don’t have examples. Then there will be points that
you do give examples.
At the end of your paragraph refer back to the question using the words of the question.

Final Paragraph of your essay

The final paragraph should never be a quick exit….so in conclusion blah blah blah for one or
two sentences. This would be a bad!

The final paragraph should be considered the most important paragraph. It is like the
closing argument at the end of a trial. The lawyer has to bring the jurys’ minds back to the
key points without repeating too much of what has been said before.

The words ‘it depends’ are really important

If you are talking about whether, or not, government should intervene in controlling
population you might think about these……
It depends on whether or not the intervention violates human rights
It depends on how urgent the current population situation is….
It depends on the type of intervention….
It depends on whether the intervention is supported with education…..
I am sure there are lots of others that you can think of.
I would go for a minimum of three of these.
Think about which of these is most important and come to your conclusion (your opinion).
