Critique Paper -Style By Taylor Swift

The American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift's song, Style, is the first song which will be analyzed in this

critique paper. On her fifth album, this music was the third track. 2014 must have seen the publication

of 1989. The third song to be released, the song itself was made available on February 9, 2015. Republic

Records and Taylor Swift's record label Big Machine Records collaborated to bring it on radio. Together

with Max Martin, Shellback, and Ali Payami, Taylor Swift wrote the song "Style." An American director

named Kyle Newman directed the majority of the music video that accompanied the song. Guitarist

Niklas Ljungfelt. remarked that at first, it wasn't meant for anyone. Ali Payami originally wrote it as an

instrumental track.

Clifford Stumme, the director of a university writing center, provided some of the ideas that were

adopted by the meaning that may be understood here in addition to the critic's opinion. Most of Taylor

Swift's songs are written for people who have been in relationships with her, and some of them are even

written for people who might have injured her, as many people are undoubtedly aware. A member of

the boy band One Direction and a former boyfriend of Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, is thought to be the

subject of this song, according to the majority of people. It is obvious from the song's title and the music

video, which features a paper plane necklace that they gave each other. Additionally, the song's lyrics,

when we go tumbling down, we return back every time, may have been intended to allude to Taylor and

Harry's erratic relationship. The song started off by describing their long journey, which might finish in

either scorching flames or paradise. This can be seen metaphorically as a failing relationship, and that

interpretation will serve as the fulcrum for the meaning discussed here. This could imply that the couple
is having relationship problems as a result of a potential breakup that neither of them wants. If read

from the first person perspective, the lyrics imply that she already knows how it will end—probably in

flames—and that they should quit their relationship immediately, but she is powerless to do so. And it

turns out that it wasn't simply accusatory since the man continued by adding that although what she has

heard is accurate, he still can't stop thinking about her. This is comparable to Harry Styles' situation,

where he was caught kissing other women while dating Taylor, yet he still can't stop caring about her.

The chorus returns, highlighting how well they complement one another and how they never go out of

style, and the bridge enters, focusing on the line take. Taylor then responds, "I've been there, too, a few

times," leading to another scene in the music video where it comes to, probably, a sexual encounter in

Style peaked at number 6 on the U.S. The Billboard Hot 100 chart, the benchmark record chart for the

American music business, ranks songs based on physical and digital sales, radio airplay, and internet

streaming. It has made it into the top 40 of various nations and the top 10 of several charts in various

locations. In South Africa, it likewise topped the charts. Additionally, as of November 2017, 2.200,000
