I.Consumer Act RA 7394
• Provides for the regulation of products and
services being sold and offered in the country.
• Three objectives:
1. Protect the interest of the consumer
2. Promote his/her general welfare
3. Establish standards of conduct for business and
industry.
II.TAMA (Traditional and Alternative
Medicine Act) RA 8423

• Provides for the improvement of quality and


delivery of healthcare services in the country
through the development of traditional and
alternative healthcare and its regulation into the
healthcare system.
• The act provisions the establishment of the
Philippine Institute of Traditional and Alternative
Healthcare (PITAHC) to accelerate the
development of the said healthcare in the country.

• The Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive


Health Act of 2012,is also known as the
Reproductive Health Law, is a law in the
Philippines that guarantees universal access to
method such as contraception, fertility control,
sexual Education, and maternal care.
What is Reproductive Health (RH)?

It refers to the state of complete physical,


mental, and social well-being and not merely the
absence of disease relating to the reproductive
system and to its function and processes.

IV. Philippine AIDS Prevention and
Control Act of 1995 (RA 8504)
Is an act promulgating policies and prescribing
measures for prevention and control of HIV/AIDS in the
Philippines, instituting a nationwide HIV/AIDS
information and Education program, establishing a
comprehensive HIV/AIDS monitoring system,
strengthening the Philippine National Aids Council, and
for other purposes.
What is Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)?

It is a viral infection that attack and slowly


destroys the immune system of the infected person
that leads to “immume deficiency”. It is progressive
and can lead to lack of defense to all kinds of
infection including those that do not normally
infect man and can also lead to cancer
susceptibility.
What is Acquired Immune Deficiency
Syndrome (AIDS)?

– It is condition characterized by a combination


of signs and symptoms, caused by HIV
contracted from another person.
V. TOBACCO REGULATIONS ACT RA
9211
• Protects people from the sale, use, and
advertisements of hazardous tobacco products.
• It bans smoking in public places
• Restricts access to sale of tobacco products to
minors.
• Printing of health warnings on cigarette packs
• Provides program and projects for those who
shall be affected by the act example the tobacco
growers.

communications, and computer identity teft.
