1. Scope

FINE CLEANER 315 is a mild alkaline, non-etching type cleaner formulated for the
immersion cleaning of aluminum and it’s alloys. It especially well suits for use prior
to anodizing process to provide uniform etching during the following etching and
deoxidizing stages.

3. Build Up

In warm water, dissolve 30 - 50 kg of FINE CLEANER 315 per 1,000 lt of

solution and then heat to the operating temperature.

4. Operation

Themperatur : 65 - 75 oC
Time : 1 - 10 minute

5. Testing and Control

Pipet a 10 ml sample into a 200 ml beaker. Add 5 drops of Indicator #4 (methyl

orange), then titrate with Titrating Solution #20 until the sample turns yellow to
orange. The mililiter of Titrating Solution #20 required indicates the cleaner
strength in points.

An addition of 1.96 kg FINE CLEANER 315 per 1,000 lt will increase the strength
approximately 1.0 point.

The strength of the FINE CLEANER and the temperatur of the solution may be
either increased or reduced depending upon the time of soil to be removed and the
time available for cleaning.

The cleaner gradually accumulates grease and soil and should be discarded when
contamination interferes with cleaning.
