TRICOLEV TAN
DESCRIPTION: TRICOLEV TAN is a non ionic levelling, retarding and compatibilizing agent used in the continuous and non continuous dyeing of nylon yarns, pieces or carpets with acid dyestuffs. TRICOLEV TAN excels especially when used in the differential dyeing of nylon carpets either by Kuester application or in winch becks. SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS: Physical form : Water solubility : Clear amber liquid of medium viscosity. Soluble in all proportions. Stable to acids and alkalies; also stable to the salts causing hardness of water. 7.0 - 7.5 25C: 1.05 Nonionic at neutral pH. Mildly cationic under acidic conditions. ADVANTAGES: (continued) Moreover, TRICOLEV TAN can also be successfully used as an antiprecipitant and as a dispersing agent when dyeing acrylics/polyester with cationic/disperse dyes in the same bath. In the dyeing of differential nylon carpets on the Kuester or in the winches, increasing the concentration of TRICOLEV TAN in excess of 1.0% O.W.G. Will greatly increase its retarding properties and will greatly increase also the contrasts and the brilliance of the dyed pieces without, however impairing the final bath exhaustion. APPLICATION: QUANTITIES TO USE As a levelling and compatibilizing agent in the dyeing of regular dyeable nylon. Winch dyeing X% Acid dyestuffs (and or disperse dyes). 1.0 g/l M.S.P. 0.5 g/l T.S.P. * 0.5 - 2.0% TRICOLEV TAN pH 6.0 - 6.5 Start at 50C, raise to the boil at a rate of 2C/minutes. Boil for 1 hour, sample. Rinse overflow. * The concentration of TRICOLEV TAN should be increased proportionally with an increase in dyestuff concentration in the dyebath.

ADVANTAGES: TRICOLEV TAN is an excellent levelling, retarding and compatibilizing agent when used in the continuous and non-continuous dyeing of nylon or its blends. Since TRICOLEV TAN has excellent dispersing or antiprecipitant properties, it can very successfully be used in the dyeing of polyamide/acrylics or polyamide/polyester in the same bath when using acid/cationic dyes or acid/disperse dyes together.
