Position Title: Manager - Finance Reports To: Infrastructure

Experience:

A. Role summary

SP Infrastructure has ambitious plans in the development and operation of mega-projects


in power, port, roads and mining. Highways, large power projects, modern ports and mine
development and contracting are some of the areas of interest. This role is aimed at
enabling the management in making critical business decisions by providing a decision
support system for ongoing projects and new project opportunities.

B. Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

1. Understand the specific drivers for each of the businesses

2. Devise financial models to capture their project development and operational


characteristics including end to end model for analysis and investment planning
including risk assessment, risk mitigation measures, what - if scenarios for supporting
investment decisions.

3. Prepare, analyse and present revenue projections, cost projections and support
decision making for new investments.

4. Should work with the CFO in providing key support to the performance management
process for each business in the Infrastructure group including ongoing budget - actual
analysis, key variances and provide value added reports for management action

5. Study the business, stage in business and define value drivers across all infrastructure
projects in the SP group to facilitate continuous assessment of capital allocation, debt
options, investment / divestment options.

6. Assist business heads in developing robust performance monitoring at the level of


operating assets and their continuous improvement to improve value addition from
these assets

7. Develop group wide cash flows for infrastructure and presentation to Group Centre for
funding approvals..

8. Be the internal pilot for continuous improvement of all operating processes including
ERP, project monitoring and asset monitoring systems and their implementation

9. Key areas of work:


a. Development and improvement to investment and operation models for
Infrastructure development projects
b. Scenario analysis, "what-if" studies
c. Decision Support Systems - conceptualization, finalization, and roll out,
monitoring and continuous improvement.
d. Decision & Risk analysis
e. Deal structuring support

10. Raising resources for SPV’s / Verticals including structuring.

11. Negotiation and documentation with Financial counterparties.

C. Required Behavioral Competencies


(e.g.:- Conceptual / Analytical skills, Networking & Influencing skills, sensitivity to
environment, etc.)

 MBA in Finance with about 5-6 years relevant experience


 Engineering background

 Should be aware of financial models their applicability


 Ability to read financial statements such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements
 Should be conversant with valuation methodologies
 Should have good Excel skills including competency in Excel Macro

 Conceptual and analytical skills.

 Ability for details
 Excellent interpersonal skills
 Strong PC skills (MS Excel, Word and Power Point)
 Sensitivity to environment and people issues.
