B- Equipment
I. Feeding Section
1- Silo with Cross Auger 90 mm
• General
POULTEC feed silos and accessories are designed to meet the specific
requirements of different producers with different farm sizes, and they
offer the optimal solution for feed storage at the farm site.
Each silo includes mechanic fill, with side ladders produced of quality
and rigidity to provide safe access to the roof.
All panels of sidewalls, roof and bottom as well as the legs of the silo are
connected with galvanized bolts and nuts fitted with special waterproof
seals.
A special caulking is used in all panel connections to protect the fed
from external effects as humidity or insects.
The roof of the silos is made of high tensile galvanized steel with
complimentary seals to eliminate the moisture penetration and
reinforcing ribs are used at each roof seam for extra strength and
rigidity.
The roof matches the natural angle of repose for most modern feeds
(40°) to help maximize feed storage capacity.
The hopper bottom panels are tough and smooth to facilitate the feed
flow which is clear of bolts.
Sealed control windows allow the producer to visually control the feed
in the silo with maximum facility at any needed time.
The silos are made of best quality galvanized corrugated steel sheets
what gives an excellent resistance to all climatic conditions and helps in
reflecting the sunlight and reducing the temperature raise inside the silo.
Together with the silo POULTEC offers a complete set of feed transport group and accessories.
All parts of the feed transport group are made to last and withstand the harsher climatic conditions
and all possible operational situations.
Feed transport tubes are made of best quality material and are molded into straight or fortified
elbow sections.

The hardened steel auger provides by its shape both the strength and flexibility.
It will ensure fast trouble-free transport for any kind of pelleted, mash or
crumbled feed.
An electric motor with automatic feed level sensor will ensure continuous feed
availability in the feeding lines hoppers.
At the feed outlet of the silo a simple and robust mechanism with one or two
outlets is available. The feed flow from one silo can be manually cut off by
simply sliding a metallic door.
• Features
➢ Poultec Silo is made of Swedish corrugated high quality constructional galvanized
steel with zinc coating 350 gr/m2. Wind: 100 km/h, snow: 1.9KN/m2.
➢ The silo is offered with main entrance ladder with protection cage, short ground
hook-in ladder, 2 inspection windows (on the funnel and on the first ring), profile
legs and feed truck connection.

3- Pan Feeding System for Broilers
• General
Pans are made of top quality U.V. and shock resistant materials, with high
resistance to acids and other corrosive agents. Broiler pan satisfies the needs of
poultry feeding from day old till market age. At early age the center piece is
simply raised to the highest level what leads the complete filling of the pan
allowing day old chicks to feed freely.

No grill is present on the pan what eliminates the risk of birds being trapped inside it

II. Drinking Section
1- Nipple drinking lines
• General
POULTEC nipple drinking system is made of top-quality stainless steel and with a robust design
for a guaranteed trouble-free long service life. The system is composed of PVC square pipes 22x22
mm lines. Lifting is by manual celling winch 1500 kg, including individual handle per winch
with adjustable length. Lines’ suspension is included. System is built up with 3 m drinking
elements, each is equipped with 15 Top-nipples 4022; nipples are fully made of premium
stainless steel with R1/8“threadand flow rate of 70-80 cm³/min. Drip cups: with 1 holder, suitable
for 22 mm square pipe.
Lubing stainless steel nipple 4022. Top-nipple has R1/8” thread and premium stainless-steel body
and valve. Check diagram below for further flow details*.
The use of recommended nipples will ensure a multitude of benefits:
- The animals drink clean fresh water supplied via closed pipes.
- Chicks and fully grown birds can open the nipples without any difficulties.
- Birds of all ages and in all climatic zones obtain enough water.
- A feather easy triggering to the side and vertically guarantees reliable and hygienic water
supply. By opening from the side, the nipple only gives a small amount of water thus
reducing the spillage during the first days of age. At older age the birds will open the nipple
more and will have the full flow.
- The top pin only moves vertically what reduces its wearing.
- A double seat sealing ensures a maximum double safety for various water quality.
- The nipple takes a minimum volume inside the pipe to allow a maximum water flow.

A main water supply unit provides all the necessary tools to control the water delivery and
guarantee its quality. The main components are:

The MultiWinch is a powerful, self-breaking gear motor. With a traction

regulation.

IV. Multiwinch for Sandwich Panel Openings
• General
Cold-profiling manufactured U-Profile Steel Rack with double toothed edges, 2 mm thickness. The rounded
tooth limits the wearing out and reduces the friction between rack and pinion. The pinion cage out of
galvanized sheet has 3 locking points ensuring firm fastening, 2 rollers used for a smoother sliding of the
bar. Self-lubricating synthesized material of the rack is fastened to the driving tube by 2 set of screws 8x12.
Rack is ideal for vents of small or medium dimensions. Length ranges from 60 mm up to 1600 mm (straight
or curved.) Multiwinch with the same specifications as mentioned above to be connected through chain
couplings to the tube.

• General
Cooling pads with PVC frame
POULTEC cooling pad system is demonstrated to be one of the most

trusted and effective cooling techniques for poultry houses. This
relatively simple system will ensure a decrease of the inner temperature
of the shed of 15 to 20° C less than the outside temperature.
POULTEC provides cooling pads with different sizes and thicknesses to

adapt to any needed specifications. The pads are available in thicknesses
of 10, 15 or 20 cm, a width of 60 cm, and heights of 100, 150, 180 and
200 cm.
The POULTEC pads are manufactured with special craft paper, of pure
cellulose impregnated with non-phenolic resins and treated in order to
guarantee a high absorbent capability, and a mechanical resistance so to
make it rigid and self-supporting.
A new concept is the full plastic cooling pads frame with integrated water distribution, pump and
water tank, offering many advantages.
A newly designed deflector allows ideal water distribution all along the pad without the need for a
distribution pad.
All profiles and parts are easily assembled by clip-function without the need for any equipment or
metallic screws.
The button gutter is used as water reservoir at the same time what eliminates the need of an
additional water tank.
Water circulation and distribution is done through a complete set of centrifugal pumps with
integrated filter and 2 plastic pipes.

2- High pressure spray nozzle fogging system
• General
Fogging spray nozzle system is developed for an effective

humidifying, cooling and dust binding of the air in the
poultry house. The working principle is based on the direct
evaporative cooling.
Through high pressure nozzles water is injected into the
house air with a pressure of 70 bar as fog.
The fog evaporates immediately and causes the cooling of
the house air by extracting heat. This cooling effect saves
energy because the ventilation rate can be throttled.

Air recirculating fan is developed to break up stratified heat, humidity and stagnant air inside the
house, and ensure stable climate temperature.
The compact size reduced the shading on plants, maximizing the light exposure.
The unique propeller design is self-cleaning to reach the highest efficiency when operating and

1- Fortica Management Climate Computer
• General
The Fortica is a versatile and user-friendly climate and management computer that has been
specially developed for chicken barns. By displaying symbols, the Fortica-PB computer is very
easy in use. The Fortica can control and monitor each conceivable climate system. Also, the
Fortica collects all necessary management information and can provide this in an overview.
Touchscreen Control
The revolutionary and intuitive touchscreen display can be fully customized per user, similar to the
interface on a smartphone or a tablet. Clear symbols are used to create a 3D overview of the
poultry houses and the computer and all texts can be configured in the user’s preferred language,
including Chinese. The result is an extremely user-friendly poultry computer that can be accessed
anytime and anywhere via an online application. All information about the poultry house can be
requested and accessed by the user. The innovative touchscreen poultry computer gives users total
control of all barn processes, including climate, feed, water, egg flow and animal weighing.
Ventilation
The Fortica can control different ventilation systems on the basis of temperature.
• Basic ventilation
• Natural ventilation
• Tunnel ventilation or various combinations of these.
Heat exchanger
The Fortica has a heat recovery control. For the minimum ventilation, the capacity of the heat
exchanger is used first. When this is not sufficient, the conventional ventilation is switched on. The
Fortica controls the heat exchanger and the ventilation. Thus, the Fortica always knows when to
switch from heat exchanger to conventional ventilation.
Inlet flaps
The inlet flaps can be divided in 1, 2, 4 or 6 zones (maximum 3x left and 3x right). The inlet flaps
can be controlled on the basis of temperature, ventilation position or negative pressure or negative

Heating
Maximal four heating systems can be controlled by means of a heating contact or a 0-10 Volt
signal. Per heating control four zone controls. Mixing fans can be used for a better temperature
distribution. Heating controls:

Cooling

CO2 level
The CO2/NH3 level in a house can be monitored when a sensor is connected to a Fortica computer,
if needed the ventilation is adapted.
Weather station
The weather situation can be of influence at your broiler house conditions. For this reason the
Fortica has the possibility to measure and record the weather conditions like temperature, RH,
wind speed and wind direction. If needed the Fortica can adapt certain settings to control the
perfect climate.
Universal controls
A choice can be made out of four universal “on/off” or “proportional” controls on the basis of
temperature.
Timers / Lighting
The lighting can be controlled two ways; 1st by means of an “on/off” control (max. 24 “on-/off”
times), and 2nd by means of the amount hours light per day. Also, it is possible to set a light
dimming time and a lighting level. A maximum of ten timers can be set.

Registration
The Fortica computer makes it possible to register the feed consumption, this gives you the
advantage of a daily view in feed consumption. Differences in feed consumption can be spot
easily. There are four ways for feed registration:

The regulation of feed lines (feed chain or feed pans) can be set three ways.

Water
Registration
The Fortica computer can register the water consumption using a pulse input for a water counter
(max 8). The water consumption of the present day and the last two days is registered. The total
amount of water is also registered.
Control
By using a timer, a maximum number of 24 “start-/stop” times can be set for the provision of
water. This timer can be coupled to the main lighting timer. A choice can be made in “amount
water per start time” or “amount water per day”.
Animal weighing
When animal weighing is applied, you get a continuous view in course of the animal weight, in
consequence the uniformity can be guarded. A maximum of eight animal weighing systems can be
connected to the Fortica-PB computer.
Alarm
The Fortica can trigger an “alarm” or a “warning”. The “warning” shows a warning message, when
an “alarm” occurs the additional alarm contact is opened. All the solved alarm calls are stored in
the alarm history together with the start- and end times. Alarm inputs (max 16) can be connected to
the Fortica-PB.

In the management group, data is stored which gives information about e.g.; the present number of
animals, water- and feed consumption. When using animal weighing scales, information like

The ACA-10N is an alarm device with 10 alarm inputs,

allowing connection of signalers like a horn, a flashing
light, HBA (Interior Alarm) and a telephone selector
contact.
Setting an alarm delay and suppression time is possible

C- Important information, terms and conditions
I. Documentation and Passwords
POULTEC will provide clear soft copies of the manuals in English language for all the offered
equipment free of charge.
POULTEC will provide all passwords to access all the offered automation systems free of charge.
Access for the communication system software will be allowed for an unlimited period and free of
charge.
Detailed professional drawings for all the electrical panels will be provide free of charge.
II. Building Specifications

The buyer must consider all the requirements for the equipment installation when building the
houses. The dimensions of the steel structure and other details of the buildings should not interfere
with the right installation of the equipment.
The buyer will provide clear ACAD drawings of the buildings to be approved by POULTEC for
matching the equipment installation requirements before building the houses.
POULTEC confirmation of the building drawings will be only for the equipment installation
requirements and will not investigate or approve any structural or physical characteristics of the
buildings which will remain the sole responsibility of the buyer.
Poultec may apply some minor changes on the BOQ in order to fit the equipment in the house
specifications. Any major changes with big extra cost will be charged on the customer.
III. Liability and Warranty
1- Intellectual property rights
1.1 Unless agreed otherwise, the contractor retains the copyright and all industrial property rights
in the offers made by him and in designs, illustrations, drawings, models, test models,
software etc. supplied by him.
1.2 The rights to the data shall remain the property of the contractor irrespective of whether costs
are charged to the customer for their production. Such data may not be copied, used or shown
to third parties without the express consent of the contractor. If this provision is infringed, the
customer shall owe the contractor a penalty of EUR 25,000. This penalty may be claimed in
addition to any compensation owed by law.
1.3 The customer must return the data supplied to him as at the first request of the contractor
within the period specified by the contractor. In the event of an infringement of this provision
the customer shall owe the contractor a penalty of EUR 1,000 per day. This penalty may be
claimed in addition to any compensation owed by law.

2- Liability
2.1 The contractor is liable for damage which the customer suffers, and which is the direct and
sole result of a failure attributable to the contractor. However, only loss or damage for which the
contractor is insured or for which he should reasonably have been insured will be eligible for
compensation.
2.2 The following are not eligible for compensation:
a) consequential loss or damage, including for example loss or damage due to business standstills
and loss of profit.
b) damage to goods which are being worked on or to goods which are in the vicinity of the place
where the work is being carried out.
c) damage caused by the intent or deliberate recklessness of auxiliaries.
2.3 The customer indemnifies the contractor against all claims of third parties on account of
product liability due to a defect in a product which has been supplied by the customer to a third
party and consisted wholly or partly in products and/or materials supplied by the contractor.
3- Warranty
3.1 The general period of warranty for the scope of supply of the Seller is 24 months from the
date of commissioning however not exceeding 36 months as form the date of BL of the
equipment. A pre-requirement for the warranty service is that the system is operated and
serviced in accordance with the Seller's instructions. Mechanical parts which are damaged
as a result of outside influence or any other parts with exposure to wear and tear during
normal usage do not come under this warranty.
3.2 The Buyer has to examine the Seller's performances during the installation and the testing
period and in full detail for any recognizable deviations and to inform the Seller
immediately of any deviations which are ascertained. Otherwise, the obligation of the
Seller shall be considered as having been fulfilled.
3.3 Insofar as the Buyer undertakes any efforts -incorrectly- to eliminate faults himself or by a
third party without the consent of the Seller, the Seller shall be released from any warranty
obligations.
3.4 In the case of justified complaints, the Seller shall repair or replace the products at its sole
discretion. Seller will change any equipment that is not conform with the offer and that
should be sent as a notice to the seller within 10 days after the installation.
3.5 Subject to any other assurances or guarantees, no further warranty claim exists. In
particular, the Seller is not obliged to reimburse other expenses or claims for damages in
connection with the contract for any legal reasons whatsoever (in particular, so-called
subsequent damages), unless these depend on intention or gross negligence on the part of
the Seller. Records are to be kept for any faults that occurs.
4- Supervision
Poultec will provide skilled supervisors to supervise the installation of the Equipment. The
customer should inform Poultec about the number of supervisors needed min. 30 days prior the
startup of the installation.
