Woodwork Hand Tool Safety


1) Why are many accidents caused when using hand tools?
a) Because they are dangerous.
b) Because they are difficult to use on hard timber.
c) The hand tools are too slow to use.
d) The hand tools are not used, carried, laid down, stored, sharpened or adjusted correctly.

2) Why should materials be held firmly when being worked or cut?


a) Because the timber is too hard and the tools too blunt.
