Course Introduction
Course Objectives
This course aims to help students:
 Consolidate knowledge about the process and principles of
paragraph writing (learned in Writing 1, Writing 2).
 Gain knowledge on how to write a Narrative paragraph, a
paragraph about Pros and cons, a Contrast point-by-point
paragraph
 Understand how to develop Opinion essay & Cause and
effect essay
Course Objectives
This course aims to help students:
 Build and practice the skills in developing ideas in a
paragraph and an essay in different formats/topics
 Analyze, outline and develop a complete paragraph/essay
with each type of paragraph/essay structure
 Develop reasoning, thinking, problem solving, pair and group
work, communication skills, self-study/lifelong learning skills.
