Calculate the Mean, Median , Mode, Range ,Variance and Standard

deviation for the following Data showing weights of Different dog's
breed :1,7,9,16,7,10,18

:Answer

Mean=∑X/n
10=1+9+9+16+7+10+18/7

Mode=Most frequent
Note: the data set can have no mode (a-modal) , a single mode 9
(unimodal), two modes (bimodal) and more than two modes
.(multimodal data )
: Median
Order the data set either Ascending or Descending\1
Location of the Mode from the Uneven data=n+1/2\2
From Even data =n\2 and (n\2)+1
Value of the Mode form the location given by the \3
.previous equations

Even Data Example: 1,9,9,16,7,10,18,3

Answer:1,3,7,9,9,10,16,18

.n/2 =8/2=4

=n\2+1 =8\2+1

=5=4+1

and 9 9

= Average between the 2 readings

.9=2\9+9

Range=Largest value-Lowest value

.17=18-1

:Variance

Answer: (1-10)2+(7-10)2+(9-10)2+(9-10)2+(10-10)2+(16-10)2+(18-10)2/7-
1=192/6=32

: Standard deviation
s= √ s2

.square root of 32 =5.65=6=
