“Founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates”

Bill Gates is one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the world. He is a philanthropist,
a computer programmer, and an entrepreneur who cofounded one of the largest companies in
the world, that being "Microsoft". He grew up in Seattle, Washington, the son of a prosperous
family that supported his interest in computers and technology.

He wrote his first software code at the age of 13. Later on, after many accomplishments in
school, he was enrolled in Harvard, where he dropped out after his second year for the sake of
building a new invention in the software industry.

On April 4th, 1975, Bill Gates and Paul Allen started Microsoft with the vision of "a
computer in every desk and in every home." This idea seemed a bit farfetched and implausible
to people, but seeing how Microsoft is one of the most powerful companies in the world, their
work and ideas paid off.

He and Paul Allen joined hands in creating the first software for microcomputers. They
started on converting basic macro-based programming to microcomputers. Later on, they leased
an operating system called MS-DOS to International Business Machines Corporation, the then-
largest computer supplier and industry leader, for use on its first microcomputer, the IBM PC,
significantly growing Gates' influence over the developing microcomputer industry.

Following the machine's introduction in 1981, IBM soon established the technological
benchmark for the PC sector, and MS-DOS similarly displaced other operating systems. In 1996
the percentage of library's that had internet-accessible computers was 27%.

After stepping down from the position of CEO in 2000 and leaving it to Steve Ballmer and
assuming the role of Chief Software Architect for himself, he founded the "Bill and Melinda
Gates Foundation" along with his wife. In 2002 Bill Gates managed to install 47,000 computers
in 11,000 libraries throughout all 50 states, now due to Bill’s invention more than 95% of
library’s have internet-accessible computers. Queen Elizabeth II also honored him a knighthood
in 2005 for his persistent contributions to the UK

His strong self-confidence and morals, which are desired traits of philanthropy, influenced
his journey in being a philanthropist. The global health community was challenged by Bill and
Melinda Gates in 2010 to designate this as the "Decade of Vaccines." They committed $10
billion over the following ten years to fund vaccine development, delivery, and research for the
world's poorest nations. In 2013, Bill contributed to the start of a $5.5 billion initiative to end
polio by 2018. Only three nations have never been rid of polio, according to the World Health
Organization certification of India.
In order to finance sustainable energy efforts, prevent a global catastrophe, and to guarantee
that everyone on earth can live comfortably, Bill founded the Breakthrough Energy Coalition
in 2015. And in 2018 he founded the Diagnostics Accelerator, an initiative designed to develop
the means necessary to identify Alzheimer's disease sooner in collaboration with a group of
benefactors.

The ideal person to serve as an inspiration to young people who wish to pursue a future as
entrepreneurs is Bill Gates. The important characteristics that future potential entrepreneurs
should look for in an entrepreneur are his leadership tactics, motivation, determination, and
self-confidence, as well as the way he chooses to express them.

The company's success is linked to Bill Gates' excellent leadership abilities and his
persistence, focused vision toward new prospects in the software business. He highlighted the
importance of hard work and has set a high standard for it. For the majority of time that he
worked at Microsoft, he came up with fresh ideas on how to improve the company’s products.

Even though Bill Gates was an intelligent hard worker, he was aware of how large
corporations functioned since he came from a wealthy family and because his father was a
director of an insurance company. When IBM was looking for a software for the new
microcomputer division, he had the opportunity to negotiate with a business that was far larger
than his own.

Being intellectual is one of the qualities required of a successful leader. Strong linguistic,
perceptual, and logical abilities appear to make one a better leader. Being clever in how he runs
his firm has been a key factor in Bill Gate's success. When IBM approached him in the 1980s
to design an operating system for the PC, he did not have the operating system. As a result, he
bought the software from a tiny business and had it converted for the PC, which IBM eventually
sold as MS-DOS. This marked the beginning of Microsoft's transformation. Despite some of
his approaches being criticized, Microsoft has developed into one of the most successful
corporations, while many others have failed.

A lot of people could argue that Bill Gates is more of a transactional leader, but he has also
appeared a lot as a transformational leader. Although Bill Gates may be considered to have
strong personal qualities for a transformational leader since he was assertive and brought a lot
of self-assurance to his leadership style of Microsoft, his motivation to persuade his followers
and promote high moral standards appears to be lacking.

After reading a lot about entrepreneurship and choosing Bill Gates as one of the best
examples for people who want inspiration and a head start to a bright future in the business
world, we can conclude that a great entrepreneur needs to have strong leadership abilities,
innovation, unwavering focus, and confidence among other qualities. The majority of people
simply take into account the obvious, common characteristics shared by many entrepreneurs,
but they often overlook the fact that success does sometimes not occur despite having these
traits.
The most crucial trait for a successful career is resilience accompanied by hard work.
Success is not easy to achieve but what is most important is making failure easy to overcome.
Analyzing your failures while maintaining enthusiasm and passion on your chosen career makes
one’s adaptation abilities have an easy start too. Even after acknowledging that these skills are
the pillars of success, its important to remember that mastering them takes time and patience.
Practical experience and education are the best way to go about it.
