Subject: The Need for Teacher’s Aide

The degrading quality of education in the past year presents inexorable problems for now and worse in
the future. In these recent years of the pandemic, education may have deteriorated worse than before.
Access to learning materials and even guidance from educators required resources that students and
parental support would have difficulty sustaining. As the number of students increases over time, the
teachers' workload also increases. Teachers would once handle 30-50 students, but with the surge of
the pandemic, teachers have to manage more than 80 students a section. Although this erased the
problem of a crowded classroom, it also increases a teacher's assignment many times. Overworked and
underpaid, some would say that they rather have their work taken to match the small pay.

Overall, I would like to propose the employment of Teacher's Aides as a requirement during this
pandemic to support overworked teachers. With a teacher aide's help, the teacher can have more time
to focus on instructing students and improving their pedagogy. Thus, students with inquiries and failing
grades could find their immediate presence during their needs.

The qualifications for a teacher's aide are not quite simple, but one with digital skills is crucial as they
can fully work at home with efficiency. The number of graduates hoping to earn money before they
enter higher education remains high. The cash they earn may also be a requirement for their enrollment
in higher education.

As a student who shares the same sentiment as teachers, I once had the opportunity to observe their
endeavors during my active service in the student council. I am partially responsible for providing
support to my teachers. During this period of time, I witnessed a gleeful face of a teacher at the start of
a school day turn into a haggard and upset frown after a few months.

I am in no position to predict the number of resources you could need, such as money, but regarding
digital tools, the internet contains a massive library for these teaching aids, and a capable smartphone is
a basic requirement.

Teachers are not machines, and most already suffer from their student's discontent. Most teachers also
do not possess adequate digital skills and literacy to produce effective educational modules. Thus,
having an aide who grew up with digital media and can work along a busy schedule of a teacher is
needed.
I am thankful for your consideration.

Sincerely,
