MOTIVATIONAL LETTER

Globally, variety of medications especially the antibiotics has be abused over the counter and
lately, the rate of pandemic is alarming therefore, knowledge on Drug Discovery and
Development is necessary and important for research and development of new drugs/vaccines
to reduce he high rate of resistance of antibiotics as well as pandemic outbreak of diseases.

Base on research from the website, Victoria University of Wellington is a globally ranked,
research-intensive university and the first-ranked university in New Zealand for research
quality. This make its research robust, relevant and multi-disciplinary, drawing together
expertise from across the University to address local, national, and global challenges and this
is the first motivational review gotten.

The above tickles my fancy and motivated me to apply for the programme Master of Drug
Discovery and Development scholarship as it seeks to empower students globally by
providing them with adequate practical knowledge in various research skills. I became more
motivated to apply for this programme considering the benefits that are encapsulated in it.
The programme will help to shape me with the best profession I have ever dreamt to study.

As a Nurse, extending my knowledge of chemistry and learn how to identify and create new
antibiotics, vaccines, and other drugs to support human and animal health is my greatest
priority.  For the fact that I will be studying alongside practising scientists and researchers
who have successfully brought drugs to market is of a great advantage.

I will not also overlook the environment and country where the university is located, a
friendly and conducive place of study with friendly relationship and fair treatment to both
local and international student and finally well knowledgeable and intelligent lecturers.

If given this opportunity, I promise to contribute positively to the entire country and obey the
rules and regulations of the country.
