STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

MY JOURNEY
My family has always been my backbone and my source of inspiration and self-restrain.
While my schooling I nearly blossomed in all my subjects by scoring 83% in matriculation
and 66% in senior secondary exams. After completion of my academic years from Mumbai
University, my fascination towards Medicine, Pharmaceutical science, Healthcare Industry
developed. After successful completion of my HSC, I pursued Bachelor Of Pharmacy from
Anjuman-I-Islam's Kalsekar Technical Campus, affiliated with Mumbai University, during
academic years 2018 – 2022 in which I secured 7.4 CGPA. Finally, the cherry on the top, I
am applying this course with numerous career paths, which is Master’s in Pharmaceutical
Science. I assayed my knowledge and abetted my technical skills through projects, seminars,
assignments and internships. Sheer dedication and efforts helped me to complete my projects
on various pharmacy related topics. Nevertheless, my experience of working as a Clinical
Pharmacist at Fortis Hospital has given me immense confident and motivated me to pursue
further studies in this field. Hence, through this course I will gain extensive experience in
Hospital medication care and pharmaceutical industries. As, constant learning is the
minimum requirement for success in any field that is why I decided to opt for Pharmaceutical
Science to achieve my ambitions. I am applying for this program in USA, as this is the
glimmer of hope, for my magnificent career ahead and after completion of this course when I
will return back to my country. Also, I am having some moral responsibilities towards my
family. My professional motive is to learn as much as I can in order to contribute to the
overall purpose of the profession.
COURSE JUSTIFICATION (Pharmaceutics)
The academically challenging and uplifting environment made me realize the importance of a
good career. That is when I decided that I need to equip myself with the ability to manage
many moving wheels. My innate interest for Medicinal Science began as a teenager where I
found myself fascinated by the world of Healthcare and sooner engrossed myself in the
science of medicine. Being a voracious student, I have actively participated in all the
activities and competitions related to Pharmacology, Pharm analysis and Pharmaceutics.
Presently I want to focus on applied applications of Pharmaceutical and public health and to
strengthen my technical proficiencies and skills by pursuing this course. My main motto is to
become a competent professional in the Healthcare sector, to devote my creativity and
technical dexterity to developing revolutionary Cancer research.
WHY LONG ISLAND UNIVERSITY?
This high-end university offers great learning environment with good placement
opportunities. Long Island University is known to be one of the leading universities in USA.
It is best known for providing globally acclaimed education at affordable rates. The faculty of
the college is known to be the masters of their respective fields and have received various
faculty awards. The education provided here is contemporary to cutting-edge technological
developments. Along with academics, the various student support programs and guidance
cells assist students throughout the course and help them devise a better plan for the future.
Financial aid in the form of scholarships, funding, and bursaries helps students to work to
their full potential. Before applying at Long Island University, I was seeking a purpose in life,
something more than a doorway to a career for gain, then I thought all I need to do is walk
through the doors of this University, to find the purpose of my life. I wanted to commence
my education from a world class Institution and Long Island University lands all the bases
perfectly.
WHY USA?
Being one among the top countries for education, USA is also referred to as an educational
hub of the world. When I look into the following prospective of studying abroad, such as
weather, expenses, future prospects and quality education, the USA is indeed a great option,
as it clearly stands out on all the parameters. Additionally, it also known for its natural beauty
and multicultural diversity, holding prominence in Healthcare courses, the country dominates
when it comes to advanced curriculum and world class infrastructure. The country offers the
most promising post-study work options, which is the strong reason why students want to
study overseas education. The Pharmaceutical Science and Medical courses are praiseworthy
throughout the world with high educational standards. Also, they lead in one of the best
education systems of the world. Although it can be argued that they provide us with the best
immigration- friendly policies and affordable tuition fees with a well- structured education
system with numerous opportunities. Being a multicultural landscape, USA, flaunts with
world-class universities and colleges which feature in world university rankings. Being a
melting pot of different cultures, it provides me the right platform to experience peer to peer
learning.
FAMILY TIES
During my childhood, I have always been fascinated towards the world of Medicine. I always
wondered that how they work with so much ease? I am grateful to have parents who have
offered me unconditional love and support in all of my personal, professional and academic
endeavours. Being born in a career-oriented family, I was always taught to pursue my
education with full dedication, since a very young age. Hence, during my academic years, I
have developed an interest towards Pharmacy and decided to equip myself with the skillset
needed to transform my challenges into success. After much contemplation I decided to opt
for Pharmaceutical Science. My family has ensured that I will never have any financial
crunch to manage my living expenses. Besides this my family owns residential properties. I
would prefer to head back to my country to stay attached to my roots. As in the present
scenario India is fuelling the youth, by giving them platform to implement their knowledge
and experiential learning.
FUTURE PLANS
From understanding human DNA to sustainability and Green Initiatives, Medicine has taken
irreplaceable place in our lives. This course will not only kick start my career but also it will
cultivate the skillset in me, that will be required throughout the work life. After completion of
this course, I will be able to work in areas such as, Hospital Clinical department, Continuous
Manufacturing, Nanotechnology in Drug Delivery and many more fields. Therefore, to end
up with my dream job, I wish to improve my skills further and put them to good use. Having
made that statement of my aspirations, the exposure with distinguished faculties and
researches, would help me become a successful in my field of work. This program would be
my path to channelize the knowledge and confidence in me, helping my career reach newer
heights and even start my own company back in my home country. Through this program I
will experience a unique blend of Drug development Product Management and Hospital
sector along with theoretical and practical experience. I am applying for this course as it
provides a wide range of career option in my field of interest. I am sure my professional
proficiencies, passion, knowledge and capabilities will grow leap and bounds as a student and
will take me closer to my goal of establishing my promising professional prowess in the
Science field.
