Overview This guide is intended to help understand the conversion of an existing Series H product to the new Series
VS1SP and VS1GV controls. Locate your control catalog number. Refer to Tables 1−1 and 1−2 to determine the
Reference Table number that describes how to change from the existing (Series H) and a new (Series VS1).

Large Series H controls use external brake components as shown in Figure 1-13. These components are not
needed with VS1 controls. Brake transistors are located within the control. An internal brake resistor is attached
to the VS1 brake terminals. This internal resistor can be disconnected and an external resistor can be installed
at the same terminals.
