I am interested in applying for an elementary level teaching position within your school district. I will be
graduating from Kutztown University in December 2022 with my Bachelors Degree and teaching
certification in Early Childhood Education- PreK- 4. My student teaching experiences include fourth grade
general education in Bethlehem School District and a professional semester placed in third grade general
education in Wilson School District. I believe that my teaching ability, developmentally appropriate
practices, culturally relevant pedagogy, and my dedication make me the ideal candidate for a teaching
position within your school district.

I have created instruction that engages students in inquiry-based exploration. I have created an
educational unit during my time as a student teacher at Freemansburg Elementary School in Bethlehem
School District. This unit focused on teaching how to write an informational writing piece in which
students created informative essays about an animal they chose to research. After researching and
writing their pieces, they had the opportunity to read their essays to first graders. This unit allowed
students to engage in their learning and research a topic they were interested in studying. When given
the opportunity, I create hands-on lessons that engage the students in self exploration. Education must
be real-world applicable and give the students skills they will cherish in the future.

My classroom style is student-led, activity-based instruction, giving learners autonomy in the classroom
and making them feel included in their learning. My classroom environment is a safe and accepting
space that promotes a sense of inclusion and belonging. My teacher presence
is friendly and dedicated to ensuring every child succeeds.

I would love to begin my career as a teacher in your school district. My experiences, empathy, and love
of learning would make me a valuable member of your team. My student-centered energy would make a
positive impact on your students not just in school but outside of it as well.
