Vignette Reflection

I recently wrote 3 vignettes. I think that I did a solid job on my vignettes and after the

reflections I added lots of descriptions that made my writing stronger. I think one thing I could

have done better was adding more dialogue or choosing story’s that had more depth then the ones

I reflected upon. Another thing I could have done was used more ideas from the toolboxes. But I

think that I had a good variety of tool used. Another thing I did well was balance out the story

telling and descriptions. I think that at first I had little to no descriptions but after revisions I

think that It really helped me have a different look at the story and allowed me to be more

descriptive with it. And this lead to making the story have a better flow and balance. And I think

that my vignette about being on my first roller coaster was the best one since it was one of the

most recent of the memories I wrote about so I could easily expand upon it. Another thing I

should have added more names to other people I talked about in the story. I think that adding

names to side characters would make the story more interesting and believable. For example, in

my vignette about fishing I could have included my friends name. Another thing I could have

done was use more descriptive dialogue and explained more sensory details as the story

progressed. I think that personally I need to pay more attention to using sensory details like

hearing and scent since those were lacking. I did a good job on using touch and visual to explain

what I saw and how I felt. Another thing I could have done was used some of the tips I recently

learned from the king reflections. To sometimes even add profanity to make the dialogue less

artificial. But overall i did a good job with the sensory details it truly wrapped it all together and

let the story flow nicely after the revisions.
