CUSTOMER SERVICE – FRQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

2/2
Hello everyone,

Here is the second video going through some of the questions you are likely to hear from
our customers.

[HOW DO I MAKE SURE MY TAG HEUER WATCH IS AUTHENTIC?]

The authorized retailers are listed on tagheuer.com. If you have a doubt about the
authenticity of the watch, you can send it to a TAG Heuer Service Center for inspection. The
serial number alone is not sufficient, as it can be engraved onto a counterfeit watch.

[SHOULD THE DATE CHANGE AT MIDNIGHT ON MY WATCH?]

Our watches feature two types of date change: instantaneous change, over a period of a
few minutes around midnight, or gradual change, where the date change takes several
hours as midnight approaches.

[CAN I USE MY WATCH WHEN PLAYING SPORTS?]

TAG Heuer watches are designed to stand up to intensive use. However, all users should
avoid knocking the watch on hard objects or surfaces and prevent it from dropping. Apart
from damaging its appearance, there is a risk to harm parts which may affect the functioning
of the timepiece.

Although the mechanical movements are fitted with shock-absorbing systems, they can still
be relatively fragile.

[WHAT ENABLES ME TO READ THE TIME IN THE DARK?]

Since 1998, TAG Heueur uses a non-radioactive material called Super Luminova, which
absorbs light and re-emits it in the dark. Its efficiency depends on the quantity, thickness
and age of the coating.

[HOW CAN I CHARGE THE POWER RESERVE ON MY AUTOMATIC WATCH?]

The power reserve keeps the watch functioning without being wound up. Our automatic
movements have a power reserve of 42 to 48 hours (75 hours for the H02), but it will
decrease if the watch has been static for too long. Recharge it by turning the crown, at least
40 times.

[WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A CHRONOGRAPH AND A CHRONOMETER?]

A chronograph simply has a mechanism for measuring short elapsed times, while a
chronometer has obtained a certificate from the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute
after going through 15 days of precision tests.

Thank you for your attention and see you soon!
