The Development Bank of Jamaica (DBJ) invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the

position of:

To provide a range of routine and confidential administrative support to the Legal


Services Division

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES –

1. Provide administrative support and assistance to the General Manager (GM), in the implementation
of the activities of the division.

2. Liaise with internal and external contacts to ensure that the General Manager’s calendar is updated
and reflects her priorities; Ensure her daily schedule is observed and follow-ups are recorded.

3. Coordinate the scheduling of meetings/appointments; attend and record, as needed; prepare and
distribute Minutes, produce Action Items and follow-up on these to ensure deadlines are met.

4. Draft Agreements; prepare Demand Letters, Notices and other legal documents.

The required minimum qualifications, experiences and attributes are:


 BSc in Business Administration or related discipline
 Diploma in Paralegal Studies would be an asset
 MUST be confidential with strong organizational skills.
 Ability to prioritize and to deal concurrently with multiple assignments.
 Ability to work well independently, as part of a team and with other divisions.
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
 Highly proficient with Microsoft Suite of products –particularly Word
 A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar administrative role, reporting to senior
management.
