1. How does the background of individual learners explain their behavior and performance
in school?
 Firstly, parents compete for high-quality educational opportunities for their
children and better educational opportunities lead to better academic performance.
Secondly, parenting behavior and educational support for their children could
cultivate children’s learning habits and affect academic performance
2. What is your concept of an individual learner?
 Allow individual learners to proceed at their own pace, mastering a body of
knowledge through …
3. Why is deep learning essential in the classroom?
 Deep learning instruction provides students with the advanced skills necessary to

It prepares them to be curious, continuous, independent learners as well as
thoughtful, productive, active citizens in a democratic society

B. Experiential Exercises
1. Explain how you can preserve and account for your student’s individualities in the
classroom.
 Create an open environment. Allowing a student to feel as though they are in a
safe and supportive environment will lead that student to feel comfortable
2. Discuss a practical approach on respecting and encouraging diversity in your future
classroom?
 - While maintaining an open line of communication with my future students is
crucial, I also need to be mindful of their various cultural, religious, and linguistic
backgrounds. Consider the cultural subtleties of each student, including their
learning preferences and language usage, and use this knowledge to inform the
creation of your lesson plans. Give English language learners, for instance,
relevant and appropriate resources to assist them hone their comprehension of the
language. Make learning experiences that are more collaborative and participatory
rather than using the typical lecture method. These factors will make it more
likely that each student will feel valued, have the freedom to learn as they like,
and have the opportunity to achieve.
3. Enumerate practical ways by which you can promote independence among learners in
your future classroom.
 Allow choice
 Encourage peer support.
 Let the children take ownership of their learning.
 Let the children help plan independent activities.
 Encourage reflection
 Develop time management skills.
 Explicitly teach the skills needed for creating creative, critical thinkers
 Reward the skills you want to see rather than the end product
 Learn to step back
 Share with the children what will make them successful in their task
 Make it clear that you are not to be disturbed
4. Describe how can you foster deep learning among your students.
 They need to be able think for themselves and approach things critically, which is
where deeper learning comes in.
5. Compare and contrast global and analytical learners.
 They actively participate when the information is related to their lives. They like
being comfortable while reading and comprehending information (The Learning
Community, 2011). On the other hand, analytic learners are traditional learners.
They focus on facts and details before they can understand the whole concept.
6. Differentiate reflective learners from impulsive learners.
 Reflective learners are those who seek accuracy and fluency, whereas, impulsive
learner prefer to learn more thoroughly rather than more pre- cisely. The former
groups avoid making mistakes, while the latter might be more open to making
mistakes.
