Business Analytics (MGT555) Individual Assignment

You are a journalist for “Jom Travel!” magazine, referring to the Vacation Survey data
(hypothetical); you are assigned to write a magazine article on the travel patterns of Malaysian
citizens aged between 24 to 50. The report should be about travel patterns based on relationship
status, the number of vacations per year, and the number of children. You are also required to
discuss the different travel patterns in the data. The travel patterns should be visualized in charts
and graphs that you consider appropriate. The report consists of the following item(s):

a) Introduction – e.g. travel industry in general in Malaysia

b) The main point – discuss the travel patterns in the given data and why such practices
happen, such as why 0 children travel less often or more often or why married males
travel less often or more often (depends on the data). Kindly use your creativity on what
to report.
c) Conclusion – discuss the importance of understanding the travel patterns of Malaysian
citizens to several stakeholders such as government agencies, businesses, and others.

Format of the article:

• Font and size of the font of your choice (must be readable).
• The number of words is between 500 and 1000 (not including your charts and graphs).
It should be in 2 column report with a heading title, your name, student ID, and class
(you may look at any magazine for inspiration).
• You may put relevant pictures and design your article based on your creativity (no limit
to your imagination).
• References at the end of the conclusion are compulsory.
• You should submit your report in PDF format.
