Step #1: Think Tiny Activities

One of the best ways to start any habit is to start so small, you are almost embarrassed. Here’s why:
going from zero to one is the hardest step. Starting small reduces the resistance, guarantees you
take action even if you’re tired, and creates momentum to make the next bigger step possible.

What’s the smallest learning activity you could do that you

feel comfortable committing to right now?

Learning Category Tiny Learning Activity

Reflection Ask yourself a reflection question

(ex: what did I learn today?)

Experimentation Try one new experiment

(ex: go live on social for first time to practice speaking

Feedback Create a simple dashboard

(ex: Track your daily learning time)

Step #2: Think Tiny Sessions

You have more time for learning than you think. You just have to widen your lens. Rather than just
thinking one time-frame (day), think on multiple (session, day, week, year). The sections in dark blue
below are examples of times that you can use for learning during the time period:

To start, we’re going to go tiny once again and look for tiny
spaces in your day you might be missing...

What will you use to remind yourself to start the learning activity?

(ex: time block in your calendar, social accountability, iOS reminder, habit stacking)
