Japan is the third largest archipelagic country in the world (6,852 islands) after Indonesia
(13,466 islands) and the Philippines (7,641 islands). The main islands from north to south are
Hokkaido, Honshu (the largest island), Shikoku, and Kyushu. About 97% of Japan's land area is
located on its four largest islands. The country is very developed, a lot of technology has advanced
and developed in this country. Japan is known as Nippon or the Land of the Rising Sun. The
nickname survives to this day. In fact, the national flag of Japan is also referred to as Nisshoki, which
means the flag of the sun sign. However, the Japanese prefer to call it Hinomaru, which means sun
circle. No wonder this one country has become one of the countries that must be visited for a tour,
there are so many cities in Japan that have interesting tours to visit.

HIROSHIMA
City on the shores of the Seto Inland Sea known as the center of the textile and rubber goods
industry. The city was founded in the 16th century as a castle town on the Ota River delta. Hiroshima
was the first city in the world to ever be dropped by an atomic bomb at the end of World War II,
August 6, 1945. Today, Hiroshima is world-famous as a city of peace. The Hiroshima Peace
Monument (Genbaku Dome) is located in downtown Hiroshima. Hiroshima literally means "a vast
island." At that time the palace was erected in the middle of the largest island (land) in the middle of
the river delta. The name "Hiroshima" probably comes from the names of the characters who once
founded the city of Hiroshima. "Hiro" is taken from the name e Hiromoto (the ancestor of the Mōri
clan), while "shima" is taken from the name of Fukushima Motonaga who led the construction of the
palace. Even though this city was bombed and destroyed at that time, now there are so many
interesting tours in this city

1.1. Genbaku Dome

The Hiroshima Peace Monument, also known as the Genbaku Dome (原爆ドーム) (Atomic
Bomb Dome) is a monumental building located in downtown Hiroshima, Hiroshima Prefecture,
Japan. The monument in the form of some of the buildings left by the atomic bomb explosion is one
of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1996. The monument is a symbol of mankind's hope for
world peace and the abolition of nuclear weapons. The Hiroshima Peace Monument is located within
the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park which is located on the side of the T-shaped Aioi bridge. To the
south is the Motoyasu river, to the north is the Hiroden inner city tram line, the tram station named
Genbaku Dome-mae and the baseball stadium which is the the homebase of the Hiroshima Carp
baseball team. About 200 meters to the east is Shima-byōin hospital which is the hypocenter of the
nuclear explosion. The building that bears witness to the history of Japan is still standing today. the
destruction of the city due to nuclear bombs still makes an impression on this city.

1.2. The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum

4
The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum is a museum located in the Hiroshima Peace
Memorial Park, central Hiroshima, Japan, dedicated to documenting the atomic bombing of
Hiroshima during World War II. The museum was founded in August 1955 with the Hiroshima Peace
Memorial Hall (now the Hiroshima International Conference Center). It is the most popular tourist
spot in Hiroshima for school visits from all over Japan and for international visitors. 53 million people
have visited the museum from its opening in 1955 to 2005, an average of more than a million visitors
per year. The main building's architect was Kenzō Tange.

1.3. Shukkeien
Shukkei-en (縮景園) is a historic Japanese garden in the city of Hiroshima, Japan. The Hiroshima
Prefectural Art Museum is located adjacent to the garden. Construction began in 1620 during the Edo
period at the order of Asano Nagaakira, daimyō of the Hiroshima han. Shukkei-en was constructed by
Ueda Sōko, who served lord Asano as chief retainer (karō) of the domain and as a tea master. Since
the Meiji period, the garden served as the villa of the Asano family. When under Emperor Meiji the
Imperial General Headquarters were relocated to Hiroshima, the emperor briefly lodged at the villa.
The gardens were opened to the public, and in 1940 the Asano family donated them to Hiroshima
Prefecture. Being a short walk from ground zero of the nuclear attack on Hiroshima, Shukkei-en
suffered extensive damage, and then became a refuge for victims of the war. After renovations, it
reopened in 1951.

Ieyasu made the city his headquarters in 1603. The city was renamed Tokyo after Emperor Meiji
made it the capital and removed the throne from Kyoto in 1868. Tokyo Metropolis was formed in
1943 from the merger of the former Tokyo Prefecture. (東京府 Tōkyō-fu) and Tokyo City (東京市
Tōkyō-shi). Tokyo is often referred to as a city, but officially Tokyo is a "metropolitan prefecture"

Tokyo. Sensoji Temple is the oldest Buddhist temple in Tokyo which was built in 1649 by Tokugawa

fisherman brothers named Hinokuma Hamanari and Hinokuma Takenari. They found the golden

statue of Kannon 'The Merciful Nirvana Achiever' on the Sumida River. Local villages recognize the
sanctity of the statue and try to immortalize it. The trick is to turn his own house into a small temple.
The goal is for the villagers to worship Kannon.

2.2. Bettara
Bettarazuke (べったら漬) is a type of pickled daikon popular in Tokyo, a sort of tsukemono. It is
made by pickling daikon with sugar, salt, and sake without filtering koji. The name bettarazuke is
taken[further explanation needed] from the stickiness of koji left over from the pickling process.
Bettarazuke has a crisp sweet taste. Bettarazuke has similar figure to takuan, but bettarazuke contains
a lot of moisture because it doesn't need sun-drying process. On the night of every October 19 in the
area around Takarada Ebisu shrine, Bettara Ichi (literally, "bettara fair") is held to sell the year's

center. Tokyo Tower is famous as a symbol of the city of Tokyo and a tourist attraction rather than its
function as an antenna tower transmitting analog TV (UHF/VHF), digital local TV, and FM radio. In
