Warm Greetings,
Charles Dickens has rightly said, ‘New thoughts and hopes were
whirling through my mind, and all the colours of my life were
changing.’ Wonders of colours can be observed every moment
whilst continuing with the monotonous life and the hustle-bustle
of it. With absolute delight and zeal, we, the Jaipurians, present
before you this amazing third edition of Meraki 2022-‘23 which
offers a tribute to COLOURS: a language without words but
encompassing Energy, Happiness, Vitality, Abundance, Hope as
well as Pessimism and Envy. This mega fest will set the stage from
1st December to 3rd December for students of grades 6-12 to
exhibit their talents and skills through a plethora of scintillating
events.
At Seth M. R. Jaipuria, School we strongly believe that a healthy
balance of academics and co-curricular activities helps the
students realize their true potential. That is why Meraki 2021-22
was a grand feat .With schools looking forward to being part of
this fest, Meraki 2022-‘23 will undoubtedly offer an unparalleled
experience for all participants. We hope that students will be
utterly thrilled to perceive experience and ponder over it. It will be
a win-win situation for all by not only progressing at different
stages but also learn whilst.

Meraki is about moulding malleable minds to seek the knowledge

within. We shape them to understand the essence of silence, peace, and
tranquillity in the hope that they will thereby take at least one step on
the path to inner peace by connecting with the Supreme Power.
It gives us great pleasure to invite your students to Chapter 2 of Seth M.
R. Jaipuria's Middle and Senior School Art and Literary Festival -
MERAKI on a virtual platform from November 20 to December 8, 2021.
This gathering of budding literary and artistic minds aims to unleash
their hidden skills.
We hope that this event will be a learning and enriching experience for
all the schools. The names of the participants must be registered before
November 18 2021. The commencement and registration date for each
event is listed in the brochure. We look forward to your participation.

 GUIDELINES
A meraki code will be provided to the schools upon
registering. Registration process should be completed
before the mentioned date.
SCHOOLS CAN REGISTER USING THE LINK PROVIDED-

A student can participate in not more than 2 events.
Meraki events have been categorised into Spectrum,
Techvista and Ciencia ,which will be held on Day 1, Day2,
Day 3
The participants must name themselves by the MERAKI
code allotted to them in all online events. the identity of the
participant/ school should not be disclosed at any time
Each team must be accompanied by the event coordinator
leader virtually.

The schools must adhere to the rules and regulations of

each event School code along with event registration forms
will be provided via e-mail. The response of the
'Participation Form’ with the names of the participants
must reach us latest by 12:00 p.m. on or before 16th
November.
Names once sent will be considered as final and no change
will be entertained thereafter.

The topics will be announced via WhatsApp groups and by

email.

 GUIDELINES
All the events will be judged by a panel of distinguished
people who are experts in their respective fields.
The decision made by the judges for all events will be final
and binding.
Certificates for participation will be awarded to all the
participants at a later date.
For all the Hindi events. Please adhere to the
following guidelines :

पावर रेंजर्स - 1 समय सीमा: 30 मिनट

कविता साहित्य की वह विधा है,जिसमें मनोभावों को कलात्मक रूप से शब्दों के

माध्यम से अभिव्यक्त किया जाता है। इन्हीं मन के भावों के तिनके -तिनके को जोड़कर
बच्चों में रसात्मक लेखन विकसित करने का प्रयास ही प्रतियोगिता प्रयोजन है।

नियम एवं शर्तेंः

प्रतिभागियों को 25 शब्द दिए जाएँगे इस शब्द-समूह में से कम से कम 15

शब्दों का प्रयोग
करते हुए एक मौलिक कविता की रचना करनी होगी।
शब्द सीमा नहीं
कविता का उचित शीर्षक भी देना होगा।

कॉमिक स्ट्रिप छवियों का एक क्रम है इसमें प्रत्येक बॉक्स में सीमित शब्दों में विषय
(टेक्स्ट) होता है । यह कहानी कहने का एक क्रमिक रूप है जिसमें कहानी कहने के
लिए चित्रों का उपयोग किया जाता है ।

नियम एवं शर्तें:

यह प्रतियोगिता दो वर्गों में सम्पन्न होगी
दिए गए विषय पर कम से कम 3 तथा अधिक से अधिक 6 पैनल में संबंधित कहानी को
कार्टून के माध्यम से व्यक्त करें ।
दर्शाए गए चित्रों में पात्र (कार्टून) स्पष्ट हों।
चित्रों के माध्यम से कथानक,पात्र एवम् संवाद का क्रमिक विकास हो।

कहानी कहने-सुनने की कला से हमारा रिश्ता बहुत पुराना है। कहानी उपन्यास सम्राट
प्रेमचंद के अनुसार कहानी ध्रुपद की वह तान है जिसमें गायक (कथावाचक) एक क्षण में
हमारे चित्त को माधुर्य से परिपूर्ण कर देता है। आइए! सुनते हैं उस कहानी को जो अपने
कहे जाने की प्रतीक्षा कर रही है।

नियम एवं शर्तें:

प्रत्येक प्रतिभागी का निर्धारित समयः 3 मिनट

विषय: 'रंग रंग के रंग' से संबंधित कहानी का चयन आप स्वयं करें।
कहानी के प्रभावशाली प्रस्तुतिकरण के लिए सहायक सामग्री (prop) का प्रयोग करें।
प्रभावशाली प्रस्तुतिकरण के लिए अभिनय शामिल कर सकते हैं किंतु शैली, कथावाचन की

कविता सृष्टि का संगीत है। मन में उठते विचार तथा संवेदना को शब्दों एवम् अभिनय
के माध्यम से प्रस्तुत करना ही काव्यांजलि का उद्देश्य है। इस प्रतियोगिता के माध्यम से
कविता और भाव अभिनय को एक साथ सम्मिलित कर बच्चों में रचनात्मकता लाने
का प्रयास किया जा रहा है।

नियम एवं शर्तें:

एक प्रतिभागी के द्वारा काव्य पाठ, दूसरे प्रतिभागी के द्वारा उस कविता पर भाव अभिनय
(नृत्य नहीं)
विषयः 'रंग रंग के रंग' से संबंधित कविता का चयन आप स्वयं करें।
विद्यालय की सामान्य वेशभूषा में प्रस्तुति।

कविता जीवन के सभी रसों के संतुलन का परिणाम है। इसके द्वारा हम जीवन के
सभी रंगों का यथार्थ रूप में अनुभव कर सकते हैं।

नियम एवं शर्तें:

एक विद्यालय से 3 प्रतिभागी एक टीम में होंगे

प्रथम आठ प्रवृष्टियों को ही स्वीकार किया जायेगा।
दोहा,सोरठा, चौपाई आदि छंद स्वयं में पूर्ण हों। कविता में कम से कम चार पंक्तियाँ हों।
ङ,ञ,ण इत्यादि वर्ण से कविता समाप्त होने पर संबंधित वर्ग के किसी एक वर्ग से कविता पढ़ी
जायेगी। उदाहरण के लिए, कविता का अंतिम वर्ण यदि 'ङ' आया तो ‘क’ वर्ग के किसी एक
वर्ण से कविता पढ़ी जा सकती है।
श, ष, स में भेद नहीं होगा।
प्रत्येक दल को कविता प्रस्तुत करने लिए 30 सेकें ड का समय दिया जायेगा।
किसी एक दल द्वारा कविता न सुना पाने की स्थिति में दर्शकों या निर्णायक मंडल द्वारा कविता
सुनायी जायेगी। उस कविता के अन्तिम वर्ण से अगले दल को कविता प्रस्तुत करनी होगी।
प्रतियोगिता में दो चक्र होंगे।
क-प्रथम चक्र- वर्ण से आरम्भ करते हुए।
ख-द्वितीय चक्र-दिया गया शब्द कविता में आना चाहिए।
चक्र आरम्भ होने से पूर्व उसके नियम बताये जाएँगे।
चक्र समाप्ति की घोषणा निर्णायक मंडल द्वारा समयानुसार की जायेगी।

एक विद्यालय से तीन प्रतिभागी (प्रत्येक वर्ग से एक-एक प्रतिभागी)
इस श्रेणी में जनहित की योजनाओं से संबंधित विज्ञापन होगा।
विज्ञापन के प्रस्तुतिकरण में विषय (रंग रंग के रंग) का यथासंभव ध्यान रखें।

हर चित्र में कोई न कोई कहानी छिपी होती है। चित्रों के रंगों में हम अपनी कल्पना,
संवेदना और बुद्धिमता के रंगों को मिलाकर एक सुंदर और अनोखी कविता/कहानी
तैयार कर सकते हैं। यह प्रतियोगिता अपने दृष्टिकोण से मौन चित्र को शब्द से भर देने
का सुंदर ताना-बाना है।

नियम एवं शर्तें:

यह प्रतियोगिता दो वर्गों में सम्पन्न होगी ।
संलग्न चित्र को देखकर मन में उठते भावों व विचारों को कविता या कहानी किसी एक विधा
में लिखिए।
लेखन में मौलिकता अनिवार्य है।

A one man show, mono acting enthralls the audience by the sheer
expression and delivery of the individual. The presence of a single
person on the stage keeps the audience engaged, though for a short
period.

Rules:
Participants should prepare their scripts based on the given topic.
Background music can be used to accentuate the effect.
The topic will be shared on 19th November at 10 a.m. and entries must be
submitted by 28th November on 10 a.m. as a YouTube link

Eligibility : Power Rangerz: 2 (1 Time limit:
from each class) Round one - 1minute for the motion
Avengers: 2 (1 from each class) and 1 minute against the motion.
Titans: 2 (2 from any class) Round Two- 2 min for each speaker

Involving opposing claims, a debate is a regulated contest.The two

opposing sides defend and attack a proposition . The word debate
comes from Old French meaning 'to beat' & and it thereby justifies
the defense and attack by the two opponents However, it ends with
the two sides reaching a consensus.

RULES
ROUND 1:Each team will be given a separate topic which will be decided
by the draw of lots.
Topics will be given 45 minutes prior to the commencement
One member of the team will speak 'for the motion' and the other 'against
the motion'( 1 minute + 1 minute)
Top 4 teams from the preliminary round will qualify for the FINALS
Round 1 will be conducted live on Zoom on 25th November 2022

imagination and allows them to put themselves in the character's
shoes. It involves the creation of a gripping plot and then building
upon the same with the help of interesting characters and twists
which culminate into a climax. However, to liven up the mood, the
writer shall not stop there. No two people perceive the world in the
same way, which makes storytelling unique and one of a kind...

Comic Strip is a sequence of images with a small amount of text in

each box. It is a form of story telling that uses drawings or cartoon
characters to tell a story.

Rules:
Participants can submit their entries in comic strip format for the given
theme and topic.
Originality and creativity are imperative.
Minimum 3 panels, maximum 6 panels of a comic strip will be allowed.
The comic strip should build up to the punch line. The beginning panel
should set the pace and the last panel should deliver the punch line of the
situation presented.
Characters should be clearly identifiable to the readers.
The topic will be shared with the school at _____ on the morning of the
decided competition day.
Participants will ensure that a clear photograph of the story, along with
Two process pictures, is mailed to the Organizing Committee on the same

RULES & REGULATIONS:

The quiz will have 7 rounds.
The last round will be the ‘The Rapid Fire Round’ which will be answered
by any one participant of the team.

round.
In case of a tie, a tie-breaker round will be held.
Quiz masters will be the judges and their decision will be final.
The quiz will be conducted on 1st December 2022.
