TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION OF 500 KVA Water Cooled Kirloskar GREEN DIESEL GENERATING SET
A. DIESEL ENGINE:-
For 500 KVA- “Kirloskar GREEN” Make diesel engine Model DV10TA comprising of 10 cylinders, Water
Cooled, TURB0 AFTER COOLED, and developing 608 BHP @ 1500 RPM. Our diesel engines are
Vertical, electric start, compression ignition, 4 strokes, designed to run continuously at 1500 RPM
confirming to IS 10002, ISO-3046, BS 5514 standard with an overload capacity of 10 % for one hour in
every 12 hrs. operation. Diesel Engine will comply with present CPCB II norms.
Diesel Engine conforms to present CPCB II norms. The diesel engine will comprise of following:-

B. ALTERNATOR:-
“Kirloskar GREEN” make Alternator, suitable for continuous operation rated at 1500 rpm 415 V, 0.8
PF, 50Hz, 3Ph. In SPDP enclosure, self- excited & self- regulated, Brush less, floor mounted with Ball
or Bearings on end shields. The alternator conforms to IS: 4722, BS EN 60034-1& will be suitable for
tropical condition.
C. BASE FRAME:-
Suitable to couple above Engine & Alternator made from HRCA steel sheet metal.
D. FUEL TANK:-
HRCA & CRCA steel sheet metal, 8 Hrs Capacity, with Inlet & Outlet arrangement, air vent & drain
plug arrangement.
E. BATTERIES:-
2 Nos. 12 V batteries with Leads and Battery Cable.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION OF Kirloskar GREEN ACOUSTIC ENCLOSURE CONSTRUCTION
Following are some technical features of Acoustic Enclosure:-
1. The enclosure is modular in construction.

2. Base frame is made of HRCA Sheet metal.
3. Durable industrial locking system is provided on doors.
4. Doors has gasket with high quality EDPN gasket.
CORROSION RESISTANCE:-
To make the enclosure weather proof:-
1. All sheet metal parts/components are hot dipped in eleven tanks process, pre-treated and
passivated.
2. Sheet metal components are painted with P.P base power.
3. Base frame is epoxy coated.
4. Zinc passivated hardware is used to avoid rusting.
ACOUSTIC INSULATION:-
1. Sound proofing of the enclosure done with quality Foam/ Rock wool confirming to IS: 8183.
2. Acoustic form shall be fire retarded and fire resistant.
3. Attenuates are provided to control sound at entry and exit to and from the container.
4. Specially designed Residential Silencer is provided.
VENTILATION AND AIR CIRCULATION:-

Exhaust pipe is thoroughly insulated by covering it with glass wool and further cladded in Enclosure.
ELECTRICAL:-
Neutral Body earthing points at the sides of enclosure are isolated.
SAFETIES:-
Emergency push button to stop the DG set from outside, Lube oil level, Lube oil pressure, Fuel level
indicator, coolant level, Canopy temperature, High engine temperature.
R&D:-
Our R & D department is constantly engaged in the modification of the product keeping pace with world’s
latest technology to give customers value for money in form of improvements. The canopies being offered
are for output of < 75 dbA at a distance of 1-meter average around the set.

Kirloskar Remote Monitoring System
The KRMS is a GSM based system that helps customers monitor the performance of their gensets.
The KRMS helps track the location of the genset, provides warnings and alerts, tracks important
electrical and engine parameters and keeps a historical record of the genset performance
parameters.
The KRM modem is placed in the control panel inside the genset canopy. The modem captures
information from the KG 745 genset controller and transfers the information over the GSM network
to the KRM server. The server then updates the information on the KRM portal and pushes
emails/SMSs in case of any alert / warning. User can view the current and historical data as and
when desired.

The Genset dashboard provides all the real time information about the genset and is refreshed
every minute.
The genset current status / real time dashboard is divided into three areas:
A. Electrical parameters: A measure of voltages, currents, pf, power and total running hours.
B. Graphs: The engine speed, coolant temperature, oil temperature, battery voltage, fuel level
(Only for gensets that have a fuel sensor) and engine oil pressure is displayed graphically.
C. Warnings: warning indications are displayed with indications. Green indicates normal
conditions and red indicates a warning. Trip indications are also provided in the same area
of the dashboard.
The following parameters can be selected from the drop down menu:
A. Engine Hours: The total no of engine run hours from the selected start date to the end date.
B. Genset active power: The KW power that the genset has delivered from the selected start
date to the end date.
C. Engine coolant temperature: A record of the engine coolant temperature in degree Celsius
from the selected start date to the end date.
D. Engine oil pressure: A record of the engine oil pressure in kg /cm2 from the selected start
date to the end date.
E. Fuel level: The fuel level in percentage terms from the selected start date to the end date.
F. % Genset Utilization: The ratio of the actual kW delivered by the genset to the rated KW of
the genset expressed in % terms.

Terms of Supply
Any major or minor civil works like DG foundation, cable trench, etc. will fall within the purview of
the customer.
DG set unloading, shifting and placement is part of customer’s scope.
All mechanical & electrical works related to erection of Panels falls within the scope of the customer.
Storage of all materials on site, any loss/damage of materials after supply and on site shall be
accounted as customer's liability.
To avail warranty, it is important to strictly follow Kirloskar Green guidelines and instructions
pertaining to installation & commissioning, failing which warranty shall be void.
Customer shall avail our free load study/ energy rating consultation before finalizing the order.
Kirloskar Green shall not be responsible for any rating related issues after commissioning, if the rating
chosen is not as per our recommendation.

ANNEXURE 4 & 5:
COMMERCIAL TERMS & CONDITIONS AND WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Prices:
The DG Set price quoted is F.O.R. to SITE, Unloading and Installation is in your scope. Prices applicable
at the time of delivery will only apply & are exclusive of packaging, insurance etc. which will be
charged extra as applicable.
2. Transit Insurance:
You shall arrange the transit insurance of the equipment on your own.
3. GST:
GST@ 18% Included.
4. Delivery:
We provide prompt delivery within 8 Weeks from the date of your order, provided advance payment
has been made for standard genset. Once your pre-ordered DG set is ready to be dispatched, it
should be taken delivery by clearing the balance payment. Failing to pay the balance payment may
delay the delivery by another 2 weeks.
5. Payment Terms:
Payment @ 50% Advance with order, balance on Proforma Invoice before dispatch from factory.
6. Offer Validity:
Our offer will remain valid upto 30 days from the date of quotation issued and there after subject to
our written confirmation. Price are subject to change without any prior notice.
7. Statutory Variations:
Presently, the above-mentioned taxes and duties are applicable. However, if there is any change in
the taxes and duties or if any changes are levied by the central, state or local government, the same
shall be applicable.
8. Exclusions:
The price mentioned in the quotation excludes unloading, erection, earthing, installing power cables,
diesel cost and load required to test the power genset on site. All civil work required to be performed
like opening or resurfacing, if any, shall be carried out by the at their own cost and as per the
requirement of DG supplier.
9. Order Cancellation:
If purchase order is cancelled by the customer, cancellation charges will be applicable @ 2% of the
basic order value.
10. Installation & Commissioning:

Only in case of installation & commissioning quotes, bill of quantity is in line with current site
conditions. For any changes in site condition, bill of quantity may vary.

11. Force Majeure Condition:
In case of force majeure conditions, we shall not be held for any damages arising out of force
majeure conditions & any repair or replacement of equipment shall be to your account.
12. Storage and Interest Charges:

In case, the material is inspected at our factory & delivery is not obtained, then standard storage
charges at the rate of Rs.10000/- Per Month and inventory burden @ 15% per annum shall be paid to
us till the delivery period.
13. Arbitration:
In the event of any disputes or differences arising between the parties out of or relating to the
validity, construction, meaning, operation or effect of this offer, or any amendments or other
documents relating to this offer, or the breach of the terms of any documents agreed to between the
parties, the same shall be referred to Arbitration, as per the provisions of the Arbitration and the
arbitration proceedings shall be held GOEM/KGD Preferred Location.
14. Use of work before taking over:

If any part of the Supplied equipment and installation is used, the warranty for such equipment will
start from the date of service and not from the date of completion of the total project.
15. WARRANTY:
The DG set comprising of Engine & Alternator carries a warranty against Defective material / Faulty
workmanship for a period for a period of 24 months from the date of installation or 5000 operating
hours whichever is earlier if the user sources the lube (K-OIL) , Coolant Conditioner (K_Cool) & all
filters from Kirloskar approved sources. The terms of Kirloskar warranty policy will have precedence
under all circumstances. The warranty is applicable for the DG Set installed in India. The DG set must
be commissioned within 90 days from the date of despatch. In case the commissioning is delayed for
any reason, the DG set needs to be checked thoroughly as per preservation norms of manufacturers.
In case of any additional expenses incurred for such delayed commissioning, the same is to be borne
by you.
DISPUTE REDRESSAL:
Any dispute that may arise is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at Siliguri.

Customer Service Packages (CSPs) – Scheduled Services: (Different SL & DV)

During warranty period, customer is liable to avail 3 service checks through authorized Kirloskar
Care Centre. Any additional maintenance or repair work done between stipulated service
schedules will be chargeable as per rates applicable.
Standard Conditions for Kirloskar Green Genset Warranty:

The warranty policy is subject to the following conditions which are binding on every buyer/ user of
Kirloskar Green Genset.
Proper installation of the Kirloskar Green Genset is the sole responsibility of the owner or user.
Preventive Maintenance to be done as per guidelines recommended by Kirloskar Care team.
If any defective part is replaced with new, the old part should be returned to Kirloskar Oil Engines
Ltd.
If such part is replaced by the company under warranty, the defective part is a property of the
company.
Unauthorised change/ modification in Kirloskar Green Genset will make the warranty null and
void.
Repair by unauthorised person will make the warranty null and void.
The warranty decisions pertaining to proprietary parts will be taken by respective suppliers and
their decision will be final for acceptance/ rejection of warranty. This includes parts like Fuel
Injection Pump, Electrical Equipment and Instruments, etc.
Kirloskar warranty will be applicable only to rectify/repair/replace the defective parts. It does not
apply to any defect caused by negligence in installation, operation or maintenance. This Warranty
policy does not cover any kind of consequential damage/claim due to Genset breakdown.
