    CLO1: Apply knowledge of Measurements and Instrumentation, signal 
    conditioning and systems to perform calculations of basic instrumentation 
    and signal conditioning circuits. 
    1. What is instrumentation? What is the link of instrumentation with
    automation?
    2. Write down at least three examples when instrumentation failure resulted in
    industrial disaster around the world.
    3. Consider the system shown in the figure below. It consists of an electric
    motor driving a gear train, which is driving a winch. Each component has its
    own characteristics, as given in the figure. Find the system transfer function.
