WARNING
Risk of injury due to uncontrolled door movement
When commissioning the control, it is possible that the door starts moving and traps people or objects.

▶ Make sure that no people or objects are in the risk area of the door.
▶ Never stand under an open door.

3.1 General

DANGER
Mains voltage
Contact with mains voltage can result in fatal electric shock.
• The connection must only be carried out by trained and authorized personnel in accordance with the
applicable local / national electrical regulations.
• The control is intended to be connected to the public low voltage network.
• The maximum cable length for connecting control devices to the control is 30 m with a minimum
cable cross-section of 1.5 mm2(100 m for 6 × 0.25 mm2for the DTH push button).

▶ Before electrical connection, ensure that the permitted mains voltage range for the control
corresponds to the local mains voltage.
▶ In the event of local mains connection of the control, provide a multipolar mains disconnector with a
corresponding power fuse.
▶ Always insert the electrical connection cables from below into the control box.
▶ Lay actuator control cables in an installation system separate from other mains voltage supply
cables. This will prevent any malfunction.
▶ Make sure that there are no insulation faults and breaks in the voltage-carrying cables as part of
each door check. In the event of a fault, switch off the voltage immediately and replace the faulty
cable.

3.1.1 Mains connection

• Plug the connection plug into the socket of the board,

then secure it carefully using the screws (flat
screwdriver 3 mm).
• The PE protective conductor must not be
connected.
• Screw the cover to the box using the screws (3 ×)
supplied(Torx T20).

• For special designs (eg fixed connection),

proceed as follows:
– Insert the slightly stripped connection cable into the
cover through the cable gland approximately 150
mm long.
– Connect the connection plug according to the
regulations. NOT
L
– Tighten the cable gland appropriately.

REMARKS :
The plug (IP 44 protection index) of the mains connection cable constitutes a multipolar mains cut-off device. In order to
disconnect the device from the mains if necessary, the socket outlet for this plug must be easily accessible and located out
of the reach of children at an accessible height (between 1.5 m and 1.9 m).
If this condition cannot be fulfilled, the supply cable for this socket must be fitted with a lockable multi-pole disconnector
which must meet the criteria mentioned above.

6 Maintenance / Servicing

6.1 General information on maintenance and service

CAUTION
Mains voltage and risk of injury
Risks remain during maintenance and service work. Therefore, it is essential to observe the following notes:

▶ Service and maintenance work must only be carried out by trained and authorized personnel in accordance
with local / national safety regulations.
▶ First switch off the system and secure it against unintentional restarting in accordance with the safety
regulations before carrying out the following work:
– Maintenance and service work
- Repair
– Change of fuses
▶ It is essential to disconnect the plug from the HNA-300 emergency battery in the motorization box (if present).
▶ The maintenance release/secured quick release may only be actuated when the door is closed.

Risk of injury due to uncontrolled door movement in the directionFirmin the event of breakage of springs of the balancing
system
Uncontrolled door movement in the directionFirmcan take place if
has. disengaging for WE maintenance or
b. secure SE/ASE unlock
is activated in the event of a broken balancing system spring, insufficient door counterweight or door not fully closed.

▶ For your safety, unlock the door system only when the door is closed.
▶ Never stand under an open door.

In the event of manual operation without spring break protection and with an unlocked operator (eg during maintenance
work), the door may fall if a spring in the balancing system breaks.
▶ In this case, do not operate the doors manually longer than necessary and do not leave them unattended until
the operator is locked.
▶ Never stand under an open door.

WARNING
Transmission wear and failure
If the force limiter is too high, the motorization is likely not to detect any imbalance in the door. This phenomenon leads to
considerable wear and even failure of the transmission.
▶ When the force limiter is not adjusted sensitively enough, carry out a monthly inspection of the door
installation.

6.2 Inspection of safety devices

As the operator of a machine is also responsible for its safety, you are strongly recommended to regularly inspect and
maintain your motorized curtain as well as the entire installation. Safety requirements take precedence over economic
aspects. In general, also observe all national regulations, standards and regulations.

Any necessary inspections or repairs should only be carried out by a specialist (see also the supplied inspection booklet). The
operator can however carry out a visual inspection.
▶ At least every six months:
has. Inspection of all safety devices without testing
b. Inspection of the function of the SKS stop / reversal limit (see chap. 3.6.3)

6.3 Maintenance counter

The maintenance counter indicates the number of

operating cycles performed in a year. If more than
15,000 cycles are carried out in one year or at the end of
a period of 365 days, it is advisable to carry out
maintenance of the installation. This deadline is indicated
as follows.
1. The red LED of the button on the housing
flashes quickly if
– no errors are currently displayed
– the motorization is not being
programmed.
2. Perform maintenance. 1

3. The maintenance counter is reset by an additional

learning run (see chap. 3.14).
REMARK :
Any reset of the motorization as well as the subsequent
learning trip (see chap. 3.13) resets the maintenance
counter.

6.4 Switching off the door during maintenance and service work

WARNING
Controls without multi-pole disconnector (chap. 3.1.2):
Risk of injury due to unexpected door movement
When the HNA-300 battery backup is connected, an unexpected door trip may occur even though the installation
has been powered down.
▶ Before any work, switch off the door systemandYou must disconnect the plug from the HNA-300 emergency battery
