SOCIOLINGUISTIC

SEXIST LANGUAGE

Around the world there are many differences between women and men in both
professions and language, lately it has become very viral to be egalitarian as we all
have a wide coverage on language.
From my point of view women are always minimized if we are inside a hospital, it is
normal that one thinks of a doctor but why not think of a female doctor if they have
the same studies and learning as him, within this is very common that we use a
stereotypical use of language, but we must also remember the good use of words.
In my opinion it is important to recognize that before there was no gender
distinction everything was generally named as cats dog’s plants etc. then why not
implement in class inclusive language would be surprising to see that young people
do not stereotype the careers they want to choose for example if they think about
being astronauts not only think that men are the only ones who can exercise them.
I mentioned before it would be incredible to be able to use inclusive language not
only by using the letter "E" in all or at the end of some words but as a language that
helps to show that women are also capable of achieving the impossible, we could
also use a neutral language that does not prevent another person to feel
uncomfortable.
