Q.1. Describe the worst interface that you have ever worked with and
critique it relative to the concepts studied in User Interface Design.

Ans. The worst user interface I have ever worked it is the Amazon android app.
In relative to the concepts studied in User Interface Design I want to critique it
in the following ways:
(i) Place the user in control: While using the Amazon android app I found
that the design of the app is very old fashioned and also the UI
components of the app also looks very old fashioned. Earlier, also the
colours used were very pale and dull looking but now it is fine. Also, the
components like ‘Add to Cart’, ‘Add to Wishlist’, etc. are very difficult to
find in the product list.

(ii) Reduce the user’s memory load: The biggest problem I found in the app
was the app’s memory management. While searching any product in the
app it takes a lot of time to load the content. Also, while using filters in
any product or while searching it loads every single time when I filter
anything. Also, the payment gateway takes a lot of time to load and
many time the payment gets cancelled.

(iii) Make the interface consistent: As I mentioned earlier the user interface
is very inconsistent throughout the app. Sometimes the font appears
inconsistent in size and colour.
Q.2. Describe the best interface that you have ever worked with and critique
it relative to the concepts studied in User Interface Design.

Ans. The best user interface I have ever worked it is the Instagram android
app. In relative to the concepts studied in User Interface Design I want to
critique it in the following ways:
(i) Place the user in control: While using the Instagram android app I found
the colours and the components used in the app to be very beautiful.
New users will need some time to get used to with app but other ways
the app is very beautiful and user friendly. Also, the app is very fluent
and smooth to use. Also, the colours used and design is very beautiful.

(ii) Reduce the user’s memory load: The app’s memory management is very
good. The app doesn’t feel laggy and also the apps user response is very
good. I feel no problem while searching, scrolling and posting through
the app but, sometimes the app takes long time to post stories and post.

(iii) Make the interface consistent: As far as I used the app, the user
interface is very consistent and beautiful throughout the app. Also it
very user friendly and easy to use and as far as I used it I never faced any
major problem in the app.
