The electrical drive pump is used to pressurize the lubrication system. The control unit turns the system ON and OFF at periodic intervals.

The grease lines and injectors deliver a predetermined amount of grease to the grease points that is based on an adjustment sleeve at the injector.

Gre
The pump timing can be adjusted to 15, 30, 45, 60, 90, 120, 150, or 180 minutes.

In order to use a non-Caterpillar lubricant, the supplier must certify that the lubricant is compatible with Caterpillar grease. Otherwise, flush each pin joint fully with the new
lubricant in order to remove the Caterpillar lubricant entirely. Failure to meet this requirement may lead to failure of a pin joint due to premature breakdown of the lubricant.
