Continue from the Love …..

portion (black n white book)

I will prove it to you. Philos love is used to describe the kind expressed from brother to brother or
mother to son and so on. Simply put the love displayed among siblings or brethren right? Yes. Now
in this family setting brothers take themselves to court for trivial family disputes and sometimes
reprimand their own sibling in detention. This is love we see all around us. This family live cause a
father to commit incest with his own daughters and mothers their sons, sisters and blood brothers
likewise.

I bet it is this type of ‘love’ that Amon (King David’s Son) passionately expressed for Tamar (King
David’s daughter) his half-sister that made him loose his senses and defile her by so doing he forever
condemned her to a life of misery and desolation.

When what is driving you is what you can get to satisfy your ego or boost your self-esteem by
warned that thing which you feel is not love. Love is not self-seeking. Love does not go about
destroying people’s destinies and putting men/women in the line of God’s wrath. No doubt you
might get a measure of momentary pleasure but the consequences I tell you will last to many
generations.

Passion is a sentimental force that tends to take over a fellow who has long dwelt in lustful thoughts
and imaginations. To equate this demonic tendency to violate the temples God made for His own
glory with Love that is synonymous with the personality of a holy God is an aberration. God made us
for His own pleasure and any man that must touch you must do that with God’s permission in holy
matrimony so that the blessings of God will follow that experience. It is devoid of guilty and apathy.

The force of passion is also demonstrated in our likeness for and career or business venture. This
force propels one to achieve great feats in areas where people who have no passion for such an
endeavour have failed. It is therefore inappropriate to allow the power behind the word to
overwhelm one in demeaning a fellow human and telling themselves the gruesome lies that this is
love. As I wrote in my book Times and Seasons of Life when people steal your dignity and buy your
gifts to quench your guilty conscience you have simply sold your God-given destiny for a bowl of
pottage. Like Esau a day will come when you will want your birth-right back, it is then you will realize
that like the English man will say,’’ you cannot eat your cake and have it.

God warns us to be careful in the days of our youth.

SIN’S GRIP

Sin has torment. Sin clutches to death. Sin is deadly. Sin deprives one of joy. Sin erodes the
conscience of a man. Sin is a mocker, it steals ones joy. Sin makes one less than what God created
you to be. Sin offers you less than your worth. Sin cheapens you. Sin is dangerous, it rubs you of your
eternal destiny. Sin disrobes of the glory God clothed you with from the womb. Sin is a waster. Sin
perverts. Sin excludes you from the purpose and plan of God. Sin has one goal to destroy your God
given potentials. Sins makes you receive false gratification. Sin intoxicates, sin corrodes. Sin is
absolutely wicked. Sin does not have any friend, it makes one an enemy of God. It does not mean
well for anyone. It is sin that will whisper to a married man that his wife is not good enough that he
can try outside and like a sheep led to slaughter it will not tell the man that way leads to death.

Man likes to court sin but sin is no man’s friend. The mission of sin is definitely not to lead one to the
pathway of eternity with God but the opposite direction – away from the presence of God (Adam
story) When Adam sinned, he did not run towards God but away from the presence of God. He
suddenly realized that he had messed up and took to his heels. But God’s love sought him out nad
found him. Naked and frightened, still God clothed him. Sin abhors the narrow path. It is
uncomfortable with light. Sin avoids light, sin enjoys darkness, hidden things, secrecy and all that
have to do with what the bible describes as “the unfruitful works of darkness’’. When light comes
darkness disappears, sin is uncovered and the victim is freed.

Sin corrupts – we are first and foremost spiritual beings created in the image and after the likeness
of God. Sin brought the revelation to man that twisted him to carnal instincts. What God called base
(carnal instincts) sin magnified. What God made as an addition sin called number one. Sin elevated
the theory of carnal feelings. Man now acts first as a physical being then less as a spiritual being. The
scripture warns that we should not gratify the lusts of the flesh, in another place – the carnal man is
alive to the flesh but the spiritual man is alive to God. (Insert scripture).

When sin came man died. Apostle Paul said, Sin slew me…. Rom 7:11. Sin kills, sin deceives, and sin is
deadly. The English proverb says that all that glitters is not gold. Sin will present the attractive side of
a wicked act but hide from the fellow the sting of death that is attached to that glittering thing. The
bible says that even the devil masquerades as an angel of light 2Cor 11:4. What does this tell us if a
person should know that thing for what it is the fellow will not dabble into but it is often covered
and painted better than what it is that is why most people fall for it.

Many men and women have been lured deceptively to the chambers of death and destruction by
the attractiveness of sin. What the world calls enjoyment and fun is actually the depravity and
wretchedness of the evil called sin.

Sin is not occasionally dangerous. It is eternally evil and should be deliberately avoided.
